Calling all Hillary supporters: We need help in Massachusetts- Attorney General Martha Coakley was one of the few who kept her super delegate vote for HIllary in Denver even after Hillary released them. She has a strong and clear 23 year record of advocacy, hard work for those under served in our state, and competence. Check out her bio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Coakley
She is more than a worthy candidate- Martha will speak for all of us in the Senate.
So far she is ahead in polls but behind in the money == Please spread the world far and wide- We need HIllary's army to come in with $10 -$25 whatever to beat the guys who have come into the race with big bucks- $$$ is the only thing standing in her way-
Martha would be the first woman from MA in it's 220 year history to be sent to the Senate-
Let's beat the old boys club of MA politics- Hillary won our state by ove 15% yet all the guys, Kennedy, Kerry and our governor Deval Patrick threw their support to the other guy-
Let's show them what we've got- Go to http://www.womenforcoakley.com/
Comment- send in stories-pass on the word to everyone you know with power to organize and most important- Donate whatever you can- Make HIllary proud- continue her legacy-
Go Hillary-Go Martha!

Yes, welcome. Attorney General Martha Coakley was one of the few who kept her super delegate vote for HIllary in Denver even after Hillary released them.
This statement about Coakley is enough for me. If she had the integrity to take a stand for Hill at that damn sham of a convention - I'll happily support her. BC, can you post info on any organized efforts - letters to editor, phone number lists, etc.?

Check out the latest post http://www.womenforcoakley.com/?p=549
Many of you will remember Ani during the primary- She wrote about why it's important for especially Hillary women to support Martha- Please read and consider donating-
We need all the help we can get- You can go to the "outside the campaign" site
http://www.womenforcoakley.com
or to Martha's official site:
http://www.marthacoakley.com/
We definitely need people to spread the word around Hillary's folks- any way you can- cross post for womenforcoakley -I'm going to try and put up here any major stories that are especially pertinent- We need commenters -rapid responders- energy -
For me this has been a very healing campaign- Ted's seat is just the icing on the cake-
There is a story coming out -I think on HuffPo- I know I know -about merit v gender- I think it will knock your socks off- especially those who still have Hillary girl crushes!
Thanks for your enthusiasm - I know this time we will not be denied!
Thanks -I think someone just moved us up! I'm in up to my eyeballs so anyone who could continue to monitor here and keep up the buzz would be appreciated-
As Emily's List said about this campaign:
"“In the 24 years since we founded EMILY’s List, I can’t think of a single race where the need was so urgent and the opportunity so great. We have a chance to make history once more, but we can’t afford to wait.”
(although I thought Hillary's race should have been THE one- this is our second chance)
You can continue to use this thread in that case I will make it a sticky or you can just post new articles as you find them here in the main room. I will archive these articles in the Democrat Women section located in Women in Government Catorgory a little lower down in the forum after they run their course in Mainstreet.
She has my support. All the Hillary supporters want Martha Coakley. Hillary supporters always unite for what is right and we will unite behind Martha Coakley!
and help spread the word- There is an event for women on Sept 30th- higher dollar- starting at $250 but a lower dollar on Oct 7th- We're trying to get as much money in by Sept. 30th which is the first reporting deadline so that she looks strong all the way around-
I've been so angry so long about what happened to the first viable woman candidate for President that I am putting in 24/7 to make sure we get it done for Martha!
If you want to go to her website- marthacoakley.com and volunteer for visibility etc. that would be great as well-
Tell all your friends- All hands on deck- it's only until December 8th for the primary-
Imagine how great it will be to celebrate on January 19th when we get her elected for Hillary!
She has my support. All the Hillary supporters want Martha Coakley. Hillary supporters always unite for what is right and we will unite behind Martha Coakley!
She has my support. I wish I lived in Mass. But I will support her anyway I can.
Would be great if you could contribute-even if it's only $10 or $25 and pass the womenforcoakley.com website around- get people to post comments, contribute, submit stories- create a national movement to get Coakley in- If all of Hillary's supporters would just give a small amount Martha could give the guys a financial run for their money-
Having more women and especially this strong woman in the Senate will help all women.
Maybe we should start to a movement when we shop- "no taxation without representation"!!!!
If you have any contacts in the HIllary blogs- you could ask them to repost Ani's piece at WomenforCoakley site- I'll try to get it up here- I'm not too up on this type of forum-had the same problem with the Hillary forum- it's my problem with cyber technology- I'm trying.
Thanks so much for your support- We will not be denied!
You can contribute by commenting on the site Womenforcoakley.com and google news and blog stories and make comments- We're trying to be positive but the opponents no doubt will be paying for New Media folks to do what we women have always done free- work hard for candidates- in the past we've done it for the guys- After what happened to Hillary I will ONLY work for good women- We need to level the playing field- all the issues that women care about Violence against us etc. will become real issues that Washington will pay attention to - If you can't send money donate your time- speak up- that's equally important!
Sorry to hear about your lay-off- my son is in the same position- Good luck!
Here's a great profile of Martha to pass around for those who are unfamiliar with her:
http://emilyslist.org:80/profiles/coakley/
Spread the word and join the team!
Changed the name of the thread so people know that we need action to help Martha Coakley get elected. I have swarms of email from Hillary people helping to elect her. Trust me us Hillary supporters will pull through. Can't wait to raise the number of women in the senate!
Thanks! I also put up another new topic- let me know what you think- it might be a good new threat-has most info people need to help support? Off to LA in a few hours for a wedding- but will bring my trusty computer!
