The Evening After... [Hot Update] (No Quartr) 11-03-10. Carville speculates about HRC for POTUS

I don't watch CNN any longer, so I missed this little gem  from Parker/Spitzer.  James Carville speculates about Hillary for POTUS.

The Evening After Open Thread [Hot Update]

HOT HOT HOT UPDATE! Since I doubt that CNN has the video up yet, I am going to type what the guests JAMES CARVILLE and RALPH REED said on Parker/Spitzer tonight about HILLARY CLINTON’s FUTURE PLANS:
Spitzer: 2012. Hillary Clinton. What does she do? Does she want to be vice president?
Carville: I don’t think so … I think she’d like to be president one day. I don’t think she’ll run against the president.
Spitzer: So she’s waiting for 16?
Carville: I said once that running for president is like having sex. No one did it once and forgot about it. There is a high recidivism rate. Okay? Bob Dole would run for president if he could. (Laughter.)
Reed: Let me translate that for you. Hillary Clinton is going to be the loyal soldier whether he goes down in 2012 or not. She will run for president in 2016, and I think she will be the Democratic nominee.
How ’bout them apples???!!! WOW!

freespirit, Thanks for the post; I had missed that (running errands good part of evening).

That sounds really good.  I had seen another discussion where people were saying Hillary will not run for 2012... and that was on CNN late yesterday.  Good to hear there is some good news on that from Carville... I interpreted as such.

Hmm.. I've not been going to NQ for quite some time; got to add that back into my current-list. :) Thanks again.

I actually watched 0's press conference today. I was even eating my lunch at the time! (My stomach must be getting stronger.) The man was NOT enjoying himself, and he was dealing with the defeat of other Dems, not himself. I don't think he could stand being on the receiving end of a 2012 arse whoopin'. Methinks he will not run unless he's pretty sure he'll win. And right now, I don't see how he can pull that off.

I agree, Jen. I totally think his ego can't stand a loss, and rather than risk it, he'll find a good reason not to run if his reelection isn't a sure thing. Of course, now that we know this about him, it provides more evidence (as if we needed more) that his 2008 "nomination" was a foregone conclusion long before the race for nom began.

It will be interesting to see just how much O is able to rebuild his image and increase his approval among voters. Some with MSM have already begun to lay the groundwork for this, speculating about what it will take to repair the damage done. And, of course, the die hard Obamanuts like some of the DU and DK crowd are sure that their leader can and will prevail. It was a real crack-up reading some of their comments from last night - crying, cussing the Pubs, and vowing to work harder for the O.

I think Obama's got a real hill to climb to be a real contender in 2012. The bar was set so artificially high in 2008 with all the hype and hoopla about him, there was no way he could live up to it. To make matters worse, he actually didn't know he had to live up to it. He thought that just being Barack was enough. Obama will always fall short of the carefully crafted rock star status he enjoyed then. He's become a has-been before he actually became anything.

I don't know about Carville.............except that he firmly planted his feet in the BP spill this year. And note that BP profits are up this quarter. Wonder how many on the gulf coast
went to the polls with that on their minds.

But hey, why the sex act? Why use the recidivism rate? Hell the sucide rate is up for that
matter, might be awhole lot higher when the ship goes down.

Obama doesn't rebuild........take it from Building 4112, Chicago just painted a new road
sign............that a way to Obamaland.

We're not paving a road for Obama for 2012, somebody better tell him to do a LBJ, and step down.
