Of the state’s eight House members, five are Democrats. That may change on Nov. 2, with four of the five in varying degrees of trouble. Of the state’s eight House members, five are Democrats. That may change on Nov. 2, with four of the five in varying degrees of trouble.

In a humbling reversal, Mr. Grijalva, 62, is fighting for his political life against a virtual unknown, Ruth McClung, an Idaho native who moved to Arizona in 2000 to go to college. Ms. McClung, 28, has the support of Tea Party activists and is receiving major support from outsiders like Sarah Palin and Americans for Tax Reform.

Before he entered politics, Mr. Mitchell taught government at Tempe High School. Asked how he would explain the dynamics of this election season if he were back in the classroom, he responded: “It would be very difficult to explain what’s going on. I would probably talk about the history of midterm elections and how people were hurting from the economy and were looking for answers — sometimes easy answers.”
Americans for Tax Reform is a nonprofit - they want Bush tax cuts extended. Bush tax cuts comprised of income tax cut for the rich, and repatriation tax holiday. If you thought we got jobs as a result of the Bush tax cuts, especially the repatriation tax holiday, you'd be wrong.
EXPERIENCE MATTERS!!!! I hope the electorate knows to elect the BEST CANDIDATE on the ballot, ALL OF THEIR QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED!!!
There are no easy anwers for what America is facing economically today and if the assumption is that you can simply cut government jobs, you're wrong. What will happen is a massive growth of (perhaps not the same number of people in) private sector TO SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT do the jobs that the government used to do. So, it is only headcount going down from one sector to the other... MORE money will be spent by the government to procure LESS people's support from the private sector. As the private sector grows to fit in the jobs that are chopped, the corporations will send bulk of the lower skill work to outide the US. You can bet on it! It is way too easy, it is way too attractive in many ways. A down and unstable economy is absolutely the wrong time to cut federal government jobs.
Mr.Mitchell is correct. There are no easy anwers.
Hillary is correct. EXPERIENCE MATTERS!
Whatever the party, we have got to pick people are have good experience and record of accomplishment that they can translate to public service. Hopefully they have some major record of public service somewhere along the way. Otherwise, we will end up with what we have in the WH... and a whole lot of seemingly healthy decisions that will only boost the corporate profit & loss statement without even contributing to added tax revenues.
