Hillary in 2012

by Tunku Varadarajan

The only way Obama can win re-election is with Clinton on his ticket, says Tunku Varadarajan. The Democrats’ least-sullied heavy hitter, she’ll hold the party together—and be a magnet for crossover voting.

... Hillary Clinton. The secretary of State has been quite magnificent at her job, the only member of the Obama Cabinet who has not looked mediocre or worse in recent months. If The New York Times were functioning as it would, without doubt, under a Republican administration, there would, by now, have been a Page One story—above the fold!—headed: “Clinton Forges Own Path in Foreign Policy.” In an administration that has become a byword for overreach, Hillary has struck a tone of hard-nosed, understated dignity, of no-nonsense professionalism, of a pant-suited determination in telling contrast to the panty-waist in the White House.

Very interesting that there are increasingly more such articles.. but why would they not explore Hillary 2012 top of the ticket?  Hmm..

I read thru some of the comments and loved this one by Seabelly:

Seabelly

I don't know if President Obama will win reelection with or without Hillary, but I suspect she'll win if she headlines the democratic ticket in 2012. I supported Obama, and I voted for him. I think he's made some hard choices since taking office and he may have saved the country from economic collapse (with an early assist from, of all people, President Bush); however, he has lost me. Through misstep and insult, through a deplorable lack of communication - and from a President who, as a candidate, showed the oratory promise of JFK or Dr. King, no less, all topped off with the simpering whines and adolescently defensive thrusts and parries of the pouty posse he calls his inner circle, President Obama has shown a distressing inability to take criticism, support his base and/or deliver on any of his campaign promises, other than pass a neutered healthcare bill that will do none of us any good at all.

I am done with Obama. Hillary 2012!

and this one...

Have a better idea!

*Hillary leaves state in Jan 2011.

*Hillary initiates 'exploratory committee' in Feb 2011.

*Hillary announces her candidacy for President in April 2011.

*Hillary starts her campaign in earnest in July 2011.

*Hillary takes Iowa in Jan 2012.

*Hillary wins nomination in August 2012.

*Hillary wins presidency in November 2012.

HILLARY DOES NOT NEED OBAMA BAGGAGE! It will be Obama that serves as an anchor to the ticket, and do not think that even Hillary can help him now.

Excellent, Jen. I absolutely love the comments. The idea of Hillary as VP was a damn insult when it was mentioned in 2008. It's still an insult, and an absurd idea. I hope the party doesn't pressure Hillary with the party unity and loyalty card. She's sacrificed enough for that failed fraud - and for the sorry-ass party that stole the nomination from her.

Should we consider initiating a letter writing/email effort to Dem leaders- coordinating the effort with the other PUMA/Hillary sites - pushing for a Hillary 2012 nomination?
