It is not too late for Hillary.

Like many I voted two years ago for Barack Obama, and I admit that I fell for the whole “change in America” thing. I looked at Barack Obama, a young man with a spring in his step and a twinkle of intelligence in his eye and all of those wonderful ideas. Then I looked at McCain. His ideas were too old. He was too old. Even though I am old, I like to vote for a young president - someone who hasn’t run out of ideas.

Registered as an Independent, I thought it was about time to help put a Democrat in the White House. But Obama was very slow out of the gate. He did change some things with health care and banking but who knows where those will ultimately lead, especially when the money to institute his changes seems not to exist.

Barack Obama talks a good game. But we don’t need talk we need change - real change that will provide jobs in the private sector, change that will help to shrink our budget. There are now times that I don’t believe we are going to get there with Obama. At the time I just wanted an anti-Bush, but I think we need more than that. Maybe we would have been better off with Clinton.

She is not a great orator, but she gets things done. She worked hard in the Senate and earned respect from both sides of the aisle. She is committed. And her loyalty is beyond question. I believe she is one of the few politicians in America who can rise above politics and reach out to a large variety of groups. She has been in an around the federal government for 18 years now, and during that time she has seen it all.

I believe that if Obama’s numbers keep going down, there should be a Democratic Primary before he returns to power in the White House. And Hillary Clinton should be one of the candidates in that primary. By the time 2012 gets here, I don’t believe there are going to be too many of us looking for four more years of great speeches that lead nowhere.

I'm glad this author gets it now, but, damn! how bright can you be if you bought into O's "change" crap? It was so clear that he had no clue about how to actually fulfill all the promises he made, and no real inclination to do so. He just wanted to get elected! It was pretty clear he was blowing smoke when he promised a golden goose in every pot and a unicorn in every garage.

Oh well, I'm glad people are finally getting it. Better late than never.
