If the attempts at bi-partisanship referenced were in regard to HCR, the effort seemed to be too little, too late. For too long, the Dems kept secret the bill, refusing to allow even the Republicans, let alone the public, read the bill.

Obama's government was big from the start, with the employment of czars to deal with every issue under the sun - yet another move to keep the public out of the loop, and to allow BO to carry on as he saw fit. No need to actually be accountable to the people who elected him, and who are paying for government - not when you are Barack Obama, a legend in his own mind.
