Chase Forecloses on Vietnam War Widow (Musings of a Southern Woman) 05-04-10. Help request.

I've been checking out this blog, Musings of a Southern Woman, on Daily Puma for a while, now.  As I'm sure you know, Allesandro Machi, owner of Daily Puma, has made protesting the banks a focus, providing much information about the low-life practices of some of the banks and credit-card companies.

This lady, Brenda Reed, has apparently worked like hell to save her home.  She has followed proper channells, contacted her Representatives, arranged meetings with the bank people.  In spite of her effort, Chase Bank has been deceiptful and duplicitous in there dealings with Ms. Reed.  (Note, I can't verify the above claims, but have no reason to doubt her.)

She is asking for the help in informing as many people as possible about this matter, hoping that publicity will help her get the fair treatment she deserves.

If you can help, and feel inclined to do so, I'm sure she would appreciate it.

Chase Forecloses on Vietnam War Widow

Your help is urgently needed.  Forward to everyone you know.  Call your newspapers, media outlets, Senators, and Legislators.

On May 17, 2010 the home where Brenda Reed, the widow of a true American hero Captain James Eddie Reed, will be sold by CHASE HOME LOANS/formerly WAMU, on the Alameda County Courthouse steps in Oakland, California. Mrs. Reed has owned her property for 38 years, raised her 2 children there, lost her home in the 1991 Oakland firestorm, and rebuilt. She is now age 64 and a grandmother, making her living as an EEO mediator and by operating a small B&B in her home -- of which both businesses suffered during the economic downturn and also due to an accident which seriously limited her ability to travel long distances. She successfully completed a trial modification plan making 5 payments out of a contract calling for 3 payments. A Chase rep knowingly called her on 2/1/2010 --- the anniversary date of when Captain Reed was KIA in Vietnam -- and informed her the bank was going to foreclose on her. This is only one of many duplicitous and cruel acts perpetrated by Chase on Mrs. Reed. They have ignored 4 qualified written requests under RESPA. They have not provided a statement of mortgage since 3/2009.

Brenda is desperate to save her home of 38 years and needs help to get out this story.

Let's picket and boycott every Chase Bank in the nation.
