San Francisco Republican John Dennis opposes the new health care reform law, but there was one side effect that made him happy: Within 48 hours of its passage by Congress Sunday, $30,000 poured into his bid to win the seat of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

While many Democrats are lauding Pelosi for shepherding the reform package through its yearlong political odyssey, GOP leaders are casting the San Francisco Democrat as something else: fundraising bait for their efforts to unseat Democrats in November's mid-term election.

Sunday night, the Republican National Committee created a Web site - firenancypelosi.com - showing the speaker surrounded by flames. It raised $1.4 million in 48 hours.

Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele told Fox News this week that Pelosi had taken the nation "down a bad road ... so let's start getting Nancy ready for the firing line this November." According to Newds.biz, which measures the popularity of Twitter messages, "Fire Nancy Pelosi" was the most popular conservative tweet of the week.

I gotta get that link to donate.  I would consider it like handing Pelosi her pink slip.
