I listened to Nicole Gelinas address an audience -- this was on Book Review on C-SPAN late last night.  She was FANTASTIC - it was like graduate school debate in Macro Economics, a phenomenal economics professor, a policy honk combined.. and she is young!!!!  I hope she gets engaged by the Treasury department to fix the ailments of our economy.

She is very anti-bailout.  You just have to listen to her or read her book.

Nicole Gelinas argues that government interference in the market over the past 25 years has hindered the proper working of our financial system, eventually leading to the 2008 crisis. She says that we need to return to a financial system controlled by market discipline in which bad businesses are allowed to fail instead of being bailed out.
