Hillary Clinton said she wouldn't emigrate if Sarah Palin became president, but no doubt she would do a good imitation of that painting called 'Scream'.
What if the two of the most popular women in America faced off for the White House? It is not beyond the bounds of possibilities. Let's rate their top attributes.
Husbands: A win here for Hillary. She has an ex-president who is looking better and better policy wise in the rear view mirror. Sarah has a sometime oil worker. Advantage Hillary.
Whoo-hooo!!!
Looks: I know we shouldn't rate this but it goes to Palin, she's younger and a former beauty contestant. Hillary holds her age well.
I actually think Hillary has the advantage here. I'm not going to get into who-is-prettier; that's a matter of personal taste. They're both attractive women who look good on TV. But Sarah has a credibility problem with a lot of voters. While much of this is due to her actions and not her looks or her wardrobe, the short skirts, the funky glasses, and the beehive hairdo aren't helping to debunk her "bimbo beauty queen" reputation. It's just too easy for comedians (i.e. Tina Fey) to turn her into a caricature.
Policy: Hillary has been senator, First Lady and now Secretary of State. Her advantage.
Media: Advantage Palin. They slaughtered Hillary on the campaign trail but couldn't get enough of Palin. They still can't.
Uh, the media slaughtered Palin on the campaign trail as well and they continue to do so. I'd call this one a toss-up.
Committed voters: Palin: The Tea Party group would become ecstatic at the thought of a battle with Hillary. Obama already proved that Hillary can't get the same emotion from crowds.
But would the Tea Party crowd choose Palin over all the other Repub candidates? And how many committed members does the Tea Party movement actually have? Are there enough of them to swing the Repub nomination?
As for Hillary, she knows how to get a crowd going. It's not as if she puts audiences to sleep. And she actually memorizes her own speeches!
Issues grasp. Hillary pretty easily. According to John McCain's staff Palin could barely find Alaska on the map.
Here is a prime example of what I was talking about earlier in this post where I said Sarah has a credibility problem. This kind of snark isn't limited to those members of McCain's staff or to the media or to the liberal elite. I hear it from average, ordinary voters all the time.
Overall -- a tie and given that the electorate is in a pretty foul mood a toss up. great political theater though if it ever happen,s
Dude is special Ed or something. Here is another forgienger who thinks he knows America he needs to worry about his own problems in his ****ed up country before he worries about ours. I don't want forgeingers expressing an opinion on any of our policies or politicans. They screwed up their own country and they want to screw up ours.
