Our unsong Heroines of Haiti, who helped the women's movement in one of the poorest countries, working day in and day out, side by side to improve the lives of women, to tell their stories, to lend a hand. To these sisters, I say that when I am up on that hill, and I slide back, I will look over my shoulders, and know it is your strong hands reaching out to push me up and on.
Thank you for helping women to be free! God Bless you all.
Bless these precious ones, both those that are still on this side, and those that have gone to the other. You have done much to help and comfort and guide, and for that we are most grateful!!

Barack/Barry: If you're NOT LEGIT, then you MUST QUIT!!
Folks, I heard a very sad fact yesterday on one of the news channels.. may be FOX.. I dont recall.. (this was in the middle of my work day so I only got a snippet of it).
In Haiti, post earthquakes... 80% of the AMPUTEES are women.
This computes.. as women are indoors in the houses during the day time. - especially in economies where there is low employment of women..
This will result in an economy where women are physically crippled and less able to contribute to the future. I believe this is bad news for Haiti.
I hope their women will be respected for their perspective regardless of how crippled they are and how little they can contribute in the household. This will be difficult.
