Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon has entered an Alford plea to one count of perjury and has said she will resign from office effective Feb. 1, according to The Sun.
The plea means that Dixon acknowledges that prosecutors had enough evidence to find her guilty of charges related to not disclosing gifts from a developer doing business with the city.
Dixon will be sentenced to four years of unsupervised probation, and will be required to perform 500 hours of community service.
