Thanks for posting this, Sanders.  It's going to be fun watching the Big Orange Sippy Cup change its tune.  I think there are many sincere, good people over there, who have fallen for the hopey changey crap.  They're going to be MAD AS HELL when they wake up from Kool-aid!furious

As happy as I am that people are awakening to the fact that the Dem party would just as soon shove them under the bus as not - if it suits their purpose, it makes me sick that abortion is the issue that revealed this recent betrayal. The Dems have used and abused women for decades. This was, of course, made crystal clear during the 2008 Nomination Theft. In spite of that, some women refused to cut ties with the party, and remained Dem loyals. Most of them did so because of the party's stance on abortion and other social policies. Now again, the Dems attitude toward women resurfaces to disillusion and betray the women who did remain loyal. The party attitude is: "This just effects the women, and they'll stay with us, regardless - well, except those crazy, white, bitter, bitches who were fanatics for Hillary last year, but they don't really count." The Democratic Party will continue to betray the female party members as long as they will allow it. Most of us decided last year that we would not allow it any longer.

Sander's comments are spot on. None of us can know of the trials and difficulties that other humans live with. What we can and do know is that much in life is beyond our control, and we respond to these uncontrollable events as best we can at the time. We don't have to agree with the actions of another human, but neither do we have to judge them - in fact, we have no right to do so. For the Dem party to effectively render the option of abortion unavailable, is a huge betrayal of women and of the principles this party has espoused for decades. I'm so happy to be done with the party.
