Earlier today, Afghanistan's elections complaints commission delivered its findings that Afghan president Hamid Karzai had not garnered 50% of the valid votes cast in Afghanistan's August president elections needed to preclude a run-off vote. But Karzai has reportedly refused to accept the results and has complained of foreign meddling. Western diplomats have been working the phones and trying to hammer out a possible power-sharing agreement between Karzai and his leading challenger former Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, but as yet no resolution appears to be in sight.

Clinton said she expected Karzai to "announce his intentions" tomorrow. "I am very hopeful that we will see a resolution in line with the constitutional order in the next several days, but I don’t want to preempt in any way President Karzai’s statement which will sort of set the stage for how we go forward in the next stage of this."

Asked if Karzai was going to announce his intentions tomorrow, why wouldn't the resolution be announced then rather than in several days, Clinton responded: "He is going to announce his intentions. I’m going to let him do that. But I am encouraged at the direction that the situation is moving."

Best thing about this article?  The name of the foreign minister:  Dr. Abdullah Abdullah.

I know, totally immature.  But all this vote fraud around the world, not to mention American complicity in God knows what, is majorly getting on my nerves.furious
