Greta just announced that the Senate Finance Committee just voted NOT to post the health care reform bill online for the public to see. They will, instead, post their "summary" of the bill, telling us what they want us to know.
Thank you to Blanche Lincoln - the only Dem on the committee to vote for transparency. The others all voted to keep us in the dark. Kerry said the bill was too complicated, with too much "legalese" to post online. In other words - we're too damn dumb to understand the bill.
Greta suggests writing Sens and raise hell (my words, not hers), and to thank Lincoln for having the guts to do the right thing.

Thanks for the heads up, freespirit. What a bunch of shady, lying, hypocrites they are. You would think an honest senator or two (if there are any left) would post the full bill on their websites, but I won't hold my breath....
The same thing is happening here in PA with the state budget. We have not had a state budget passed (it was due July 1st and we are the only state left without a budget), and they say they now have an agreement, but refuse to release the details of the agreement, because the last couple of times they released details of agreements before since the summer, everyone raised holy heck about what they were putting in the budget. So, now they are saying nothing, and won't release it until it comes up for a vote, when its too late for people to protest.

Actually, because we know what a lying, thieving asshat he is, he is transparent to us. We can see every shady move, every lie, every manipulation and we know what his motives are. The morons who voted for him, believed him, and shoved him down our throats are getting precisely what they deserve. Unfortunately, we all suffer, too. When will this nightmare end?

November 2012, officially not until Jan. 2013. However we can make a dent in his armor on election day 2010 if we all stay committed to Country before Party. Our Forefathers Armed us with system of checks and balances. They were thrown away by Kool-Aid drinking followers. It is time for us to makes sure at least one of our branches of Government is NOT in DEMOCRATIC control in 2010. It is essential! Especially if Obama gets to appoint another Supreme Court Judge, and unfortunately (prayers for Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg) it looks as if he will get that chance before November 2010.

Yes the daycares are closing or working with skelaton staff. I have had my hours cut and only have had an increase due to people leaving. This budget is ticking me off.
