The media should investigate the racial views of conservative activists like the ones who descended on Washington last weekend, one liberal congresswoman said Wednesday.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said that it's not enough for African-Americans to levy allegations of racism against the right-leaning protesters, and that the media must look into their views.
"I want those people talked to; I want them interviewed," Waters told the liberal Bill Press Radio show in a podcast. "I want journalists to be all over those rallies and the marches with the birthers and the teabaggers."
"What I'm looking for is the very people who carry the signs who are referring to the policies in very, very strange ways like 'Obamacare' and 'Barry Obamacare with Kennedy,'" she said. "What I've been interested in is hearing from those people that everybody's referring to -- everybody on the Mall, in the rally."
Perhaps Maxine should talk to the African American people who oppose Obama and ask them. I mean I know I don't have a problem with his black heritage but I have a problem with Barack Obama as President. These are Democrat politicans and of course they play the race card the Democrats always does. Perhaps Maxine can tell me which party is responsible for for the most racist law on the book which is the Rockerfeller law I guess that would be the Democrats.

I'm assuming Maxine didn't grow up in the South, where it was the Democrats, known as the "Dixiecrats" who were responsible for the Jim Crow laws.
The woman needs a history lesson - ASAP!

"I want those people talked to; I want them interviewed,"
This sounds as if it's intended to intimidate. Why the hell would she want them interviewed? If she want's to know what they're protesting, it's not necessary to interview them to find that out. Most of the protesters are carrying signs that tell what they're concerned about.
It would be admirable if she wanted to interview them herself - to really listen to their concerns. But, she doesn't give a damn about that. She is just pissed off that they have the gall to protest Obama and his policies.

There is absolutely nothing any of us can say to people like Maxine Waters and Jimmy Carter that will make them think we're not racists. They've got their minds made up.
This socialist marxist should get a grip. I talked to several people attending and many of our fellow Americans were AAs. The ones that are behind shady deals are the ones playing the race card. America is no longer uninformed.
It is really p*ssing me off to have people like this think that African Americans are lead by rhetoric and are fully behind BHO. We are Americans! We are the ones that jump into problems and find solutions--not our color. We do the working, living, and dying in this country--not our color.
This is just not right to say. Never thought I'd see the day where elected officials are insulting their constituents and fellow Americans. I thought we were all supposed to unify for the good of the country? I certainly see no unity from them.
