‘We Are Americans’ September 13th, 2009 | Author: Diamond Tiger I have spent some time trying to find news reports about the march, and spent a bit of time (unsuccessfully) this morning trying to find an actual copy of the Washington Post as a souvenir of yesterday’s historic march, and realized that the whole story is not being told. So here goes, and keep in mind these are the astroturfing, right wing, domestic terrorists that the pResident, Nancy and the Media want you to believe exist. The resounding elements of the 1000’s of people I spoke with are these: • We are not liberals, democrats, conservatives, republicans or indies, We Are Americans. • We needed to be here; we were drawn here; this is a historic turning point in our country. • We are tired of greedy politicians, and felt that our faces needed to be seen here on their turf. • Everyone we have met is familiar to us. • These fellow patriots are family. There are no strangers among us. • We need to get everybody out on the march with us.

I think that, until this administration got in, people were satisfied to have party identity because no party was trying to make us a socialist nation. Until this administration, nobody was trying to totally take control of free enterprise. This administration is taking over everything, we are losing freedoms, and I think this is the first time this has happened.
People have begun to go beyond any particular party because now, our freedom, our nation is at risk.

People are beginning to see that both parties have corruption within them. And, it is this corruption that is attempting to destroy America. The far-left and the far-right are totally lost. It will be up to the moderates of each party and the middle to take this country back. We need to join together, as there is strength in numbers. We are Americans first and foremost, and that is what binds up together on common ground.
I am a realist and base my decisions on the best facts that I have at the time. As this "monster" grows stronger, more and more people are becoming realists and are seeking out the facts. They are no longer complacent to just to stand by and see what happens. People are realizing time is of the essence.
The people are awake now, thank God. But what's missing are alternatives-- we know the politicians in office are corrupt and need to be gone, but who is running against them? Who can we support? Some people talk a lot about a third party, and ideally this would be great. But that third party won't be ready by 2012, much less 2010 and we can't wait.
You all make great points. Dems and Reps have lost their way. Politicians have become "Bilderberg-bots." We need to think every day how we can get out from under the thumb of the Big Money interests!
