Pimping Sarah Palin to Ordinary Joe
Posted on September 5, 2009 by freemenow

Media coverage of a charity dinner is deliberately distorted and sexualized and where is the outrage by woman’s groups who yet again are silent?
What’s with the headline which appeared on an NBC story about this –
Win a Date With Sarah Palin
Lipstick? $5. Pitbull? $100. Dinner with the original rifle-toting hockey mom? Priceless.
Ex-vice presidential candidate and notorious former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will chow down with one lucky donor next week as part of a charity auction hosted on eBay, where the opening bid is set at a mere $25,000.
The winner will still have to foot his or her travel bills to meet up with Palin, likely in Alaska — but perhaps a jaunt to Russia isn’t out of the question.
Palin is one of several politicians who’ll offer up a meal as part of the Ride 2 Recovery program, which supports wounded veterans through cycling organizations.
This is a perfect example of misleading reporting but that is just the same old same old that we have come to expect when it comes to our women. And when it comes to Sarah Palin and her family in particular it is sure to be very sexually charged and it as of late connotes prostitution.
The headline is egregiously inappropriate. The term date is a romantic and usually sexual encounter. Winning a date with someone for money almost sounds like the reality show The Bachelorette, even using a photo reminicent of the episode where the lovely lady choose from an Ordinary Joe. Leave it to NBC / MSNBC to use that headline and photo both to capture sales but more so to take an incidious  low blow at Sarah Palin. The entire meme did not escape me and demands attention.
Women should be incensed. Had this been done to a person of color or a minority there would be hell to pay but again it is open season on women. When will we adopt Alinsky Rules for Radicals and stop the all out assault on women and girls while every other group including a two inch long minnow in California is protected http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,539121,00.html . Damned it wake up Women- wake up!  We protect animals but not women!

I was going to post this in Sarah Palin section - then, I thought it would be better in the Women's Issues section.  Or - should it go in the Media Bias section - yes.  I think that's where it belongs.  But, I wanted to post it here first.  It is just unbelievable that MSM can still get away with this kind of crap.

Thanks Hmg. My guess is The New Agenda will address this. I won't hold my breath for NOW to do anything. I hope Sarah is aware that there are many women, who don't necessarily identify with her party or her ideology, but who support her and deplore the mean spirited attacks the elite MSM and Dems feel they right to hurl at her. Where the hell do they get off attacking a former governor of a state in this country - not for her policies, positions, or anything else work related. They feel free to attack her because she is not ivy league educated. Because she's not connected to old money and power. Because she comes from a rural state. But primarily - because she is a woman.

Thanks for waiting to post in other section. This is just too much. This is why I've distanced myself from these women groups. They do absolutely nothing.

No wonder NBC and MSNBC are in the toilet.
