"Kerry Positions Self as Kennedy Heir" (AP/Yahoo News)

Well, I think Kerry should position himself as a Kennedy heir.  His behavior has been just as reprehensible as much of theirs.  Does anyone remember the picture of an obviously drunk Kerry at some party with a bunch of college-aged girls that came out last year?  Looks to me like he's following in Kennedy footsteps.  Someone please find the "Barf" icon that was over at HV - we need it badly here!!!!

" Sen. John Kerry positioned himself as the political heir to Edward Kennedy, pledging to the thousands who attended his town hall meeting Wednesday that he would fight for the health care overhaul championed by his longtime Democratic colleague...."

Here's the link in case any of you want to "treat" yourself to reading the actual article.  Every moron and their brother will be trying to ride the Kennedy name and I ask myself "WHY????"

Well, I hope Kris Tingle doesn't hear about this. He has already declared Obama to be a Kennedy brother. I can just see it now - John Kerry and Chris Matthews in a smack down about which corrupt pol gets to be the next Kennedy.

Yes, wasn't Kerry at some beach and he claims he was passing by and just posed with those drunk college kids that way to be nice? I think it's more likely he was the "bad influence" on them. biggrin

But he's right in a sense that he's the Kennedy heir - now Kerry is the senior senator from MA for the first time. He's had an obsession with the Kennedys all his life, he's even proud of the initials he has in common with JFK.

Obama has actually snubbed Kerry, and Chris Matthews, come to think of it - he ignores the both of them, but Chris has that man-crush on Obama, so all's well. I just wish Chrissy had run for office in PA to see him smacked down.

Sugnspice, I remember those pictures very well, we were supporting his opponent--and Kerry won anyway.

It's like the same with Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank?  I don't like to catagorize people, but what the hell is wrong with those people in their regions that keep voting them in?

Is it in the water?

John Kerry the only person I am ever sorry I voted for in my life. If I could take back any vote it would be that one.

I voted for Kerry also . . . why, why, why . . . I ask myself now . . .

If I had a "do over" . . . no, I would not vote for him then, . . . not now, . . . and, not ever . . .

Hmg and Calico - I'm with you guys. Never again. You know, at first I really tried to muster up some excitement about Kerry. And then there was the Dem convention. When he walked out on that stage to accept the nom in his military uniform, and said "John Kerry reporting for duty", I though - OMG this guy's got no sense and neither do his campaign people.

I mean - there's obviously nothing inherently wrong about his wearing the uniform. It's something to be proud of, but the way he handled the whole thing was so cheesy, I was embarrassed for him.
