Yes, Susan Atkins, Charles Manson girl, who murdered Sharon Tate and her unborn baby, now has brain cancer, and today will plea for mercy release to die at home!

Well, this crime was committed before I was "around", so my opinion is from what I have read about and how my thoughts on it.
I am all for compassion, but this woman committed a horrendous crime. She was sentenced for the crime and should serve the entire sentence. Sharon Tate and the unborn baby did not have a chance to plea for mercy . . . neither should she.

Yes, I've heard Atkins' parole plea failed, and it won't come up again until 2012.
She tried the same stunt back in July 2008, and she outlived her prognosis by months already. She (and most of the other people convicted of the murders) would have been put to death decades ago except for that little technicality, that was more "mercy" than was ever warranted. What she said to Sharon Tate, who was the last to die on purpose:
"Bitch, I don't care about you or your baby. You're going to die."
