"A new law just passed in Massachusetts imposes fines of up to $1000 per day and up to a 30 day jail sentence for not obeying authorities during a public health emergency. So if you are instructed to take the swine flu vaccine in Massachusetts and you refuse, you could be facing fines that will bankrupt you and a prison sentence on top of that."

I just wonder how the supreme court would rule on this, if the law was challenged. This is over the top, and there's too much misinformation about swine flu, imo.

For example - in my area, many cases of swine flue are being reported each day. Tamiflu can't be found because patients and their families are being prescribed this medication. But, there is a flaw in the whole reporting process: A physician told me that no one in my area (which has a large medical community) can actually test for swine flu. By swabbing the inside of the mouth, they can determine which type of flu a patient has - Type A, B, or whatever (I'm not sure how many types there are). Swine flu is a type A flu, but not the only type A, as I understand it. In order to determine if a type A swab is swine flu it is necessary to send the swab off to the state capital for testing. At this point, according to two physicians with whom I've spoken within the past few days, there have been so many cases of Type A flu identified, it is impractical (in their opinion) to send all of them away for testing. For that reason, physicians are just treating all these Type A cases as if they were swine flu - and some are reporting them as such.

Here's an article on this MA bill as well - from what I understand, the provisions are in the bill to do all the video claims it to do, they just have to be activated by other legislation, executive order, or whatever.

No way will I get it - when I was very young back in 1976, I refused to get that flu shot because I had a bad feeling about it, as I do now with this one. The government in MA can go to hell.

I'm with you Ebringer.  I've never had a flu shot, and don't intend to have this one.

I am with both of you . . . I have never had a flu shot either.  It actually freaks me out to think about it!

I'm definitely not getting one - never have.  I keep my immunity up to very high levels, by eating right and taking a lot of vitamins.  I don't want to curse myself by saying how long its been since I've been not well, but...suffice it to say that, if you keep your immune system strong, you'll be much less likely to be afflicted.

Nobody asked, but I'm going to list what I take, just for fun.  I'm also a semi-raw foodiest - lots of seeds, nuts, fruits, vegetables, and green tea.  But meat is also a natural thing, and your body needs good protein.  Even red meat and pork can be part of a healty diet.  It's mostly packaged foods that I avoid.

Anyhoo, to the list:

calcium - strong teeth and bones are important, plus it helps with cell chemistry balance

magnesium - also helps with cell chemical balance, as well as mood and many other things

alfalfa - massive amounts of minerals.  Its roots can reach beyond 70 feet to get at them!  Alfalfa means "father of all food."

acidophilus - probiotic, does the thing that Jamie Curtis advertises on the yogurt commercials

flax oil - gives you essential fatty acids.  Did you know your brain is made mostly of fat, as is much of your cell membranes?  Fish oil is good for this, too.

fenugreek - good for allergies

alpha lipoic acid - I get it, as well as quite a few of these other nutrients, at Wal-Mart!  ALA is known as the "queen of antioxidants."  Oxidants burn up/destroy cells, and ALA protects them.  Helps to prevent aging.

gingko biloba - good for brain circulation, actually ALL circulation

grape seed complex - improves arterial integrity - you want healthy arteries, as they take your food to you cells and take out the garbage!

estered vitamin C - of course we know that vitamin C prevents a lot of ailments.  The estered form is easier on your stomach.wink

turmeric - helps prevent inflammation and brain plaqueconfuse

a great multiple, from the health food store

hawthorn - heart health

wild yam - addresses women's issues

horsetail - makes teeth, hair, and nails stronger

I try to take these approximately every other day.

Thanks for letting me share!smile  Remember to consult your health care professional before taking anything listed here.

Great list, Alex!  Thanks for sharing!  smile

I don't do all of these things, but do drink lots of green tea (one cup each day after dinner) and milk (at least one or two glasses a day).  And, we grow our own veggies and have someone nearby raise one beef for us each year (this way we know absolutely that it has not been injected with or eaten "who knows what").  My husband and I take a multi-vitamin each day also.

And, we carry hand sanitizers with us everywhere we go and use them frequently.

Eating home grown stuff is one of the absolute BEST things you can do!  And that beef must be delicioso.wink
