This is incredibly disturbing. My god, people need to take to the streets over this..we are in SUCH troubling times. I said a long while ago that I discovered when my son was in China that OUR media is NO BETTER than theirs ..now I see that our government isn't either...especially with Obama ratcheting up the Bush policies on privacy *lack thereof* and no one says at thing much because it's Obama doing it??

The wording has been revised on the website now, but that doesn't really mean that they are not still doing it.
This is on the dealer's side, not the consumer side. It is possible that when the dealer logs onto the CARS website, they are compromising their computer, servers, etc. And, any information contained therein, including personal consumer information, may be compromised. And, the possibility does exist that other systems may compromise other systems "innocently" (not known that they are actually spreading it). Unbeknown to the "regular joe", their systems maybe spied upon by the government.
It is possible. The questions are "are they actually doing it? and "why?"
The car dealers have jacked up their prices to make-up for the 4 grand.
You're looking at a price tag of 35,000 - but, now it's ONLY 31,000 - when last week the car sold new at 28,000. These crooks are making money - hand over fist.
Never trust the government!
