Often, articles on women's rights and equality drag their heels in recounting past accomplishments. But, it is no longer sufficient to point to how far we have come... It is time to point out how much farther we have to go, and who can get us there.
Starting with Victoria Woodhull in 1872 (= past 137 years), there have been 34 named female candidates on the general election ballot for POTUS, demonstrating amply that aspiration and drive for the HIGHEST ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE of the USA lives in women just as much as in men.
May 31, 2008 shall go down in history as the darkest day of women's history of the USA. In a decision that shall be recorded in history as the most egregious against the US female 51% of the society, the DNP blocked Hillary Clinton's nomination to the ballot for the HIGHEST ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE, denying the most qualified, ready and electable candidate the equal and fair opportunity that the framers of our Constitution promised in this Land of Equality, Justice and Fairness, and Opportunity for All.
Let us remind ourselves: Women comprise 51% of the US Population. And the year is 2009, moving at lightning speed towards 2012.
IT IS TIME FOR THE MOST RENOUNED, MOST QUALIFIED, MOST EXPERIENCED, MOST TESTED AND PROVEN EFFECTIVE FEMALE CANDIDATE FOR THE HIGHEST OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
It is the time for HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON to become the President of the United States.
WILL THE DNP NOMINATE HILLARY DIANE RODHAM CLINTON CANDIDATE FOR THE 45TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES?? OR, will they plan on loosing the election and bringing yet another male POTUS.
If they do not nominate HRC, what would it say about the DNP??
IT IS HIGH TIME FOR HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I did not know any of that. Thanks for informing me. Hopefully now that the tech glitches are worked out I can get the Woman's History thread going again.
Great post, sanders. You are so right. It's time for Hillary to be president. This time, we'll know what to expect from the sorry MSM, as well as the liberal Dems. We have time to get organized, strong, united, and READY to make sure Hillary is not cheated out of the presidency ... again.

Today was an extremely tough day so I put on one of my Hillary shirts and it made me feel better. Today I found out my 18 year old daughter is pregnant. She will have either no. 7 or no. 8 depending on who goes first her or my son's girlfriend.
Oh mygod ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HMG))))))))))))) it's the hardest thing in the world when one of our kids is doing something that will so affect their lives. We can see things they just cannot see and so badly want to protect them...I'm so sorry to hear your young daughter will have to be a parent at this age. She will do fine and will be strong but, that IS a hard row to hoe for any young person...it's hard for an older person!!
Young women like her are one reason a Hillary presidency would be such an example for us all. We so badly need better role models. So badly.
My heart goes out to you. I have been having some scary times with my son over the last year...and he thinks he is bullet proof because he's nineteen and well..."nothing is going to happen bad to me here mom!!" It's so difficult!
Some days I cannot wait till he is a parent just so he can see that mom wasn't always worrying for nothing...lol.
