Very interesting article about gay rights and religion. The person who wrote this is actually a journalist he gives both sides to the story. Very interesting read.
If the goal of a religion is to keep the human being in harmony with him/her-self and nature, it should accept LGBT with all their warts and habits.
As to marriage, it is a concept not necessarily of religion, but is often sanctioned by religion. So, I looked up marriage vows in various religions. SURPRISE! Not one has a standard marriage vow that is about childbearing, and almost all of them sound gender-neutral, except for that first word - bride/groom - which is really not part of the vows themselves rather part of the background noise. http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-planning/wedding-ceremony/articles/traditional-wedding-vows-from-various-religions.aspx
