FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Change.orgĀ Reports Rare Breach of Hillary 2012 Petition
The "Petition to Draft Hillary Clinton as the 2012 Democratic Presidential Nominee" on change.org was hacked on Thursday at noon PST as it approached 1,000 Signatures. The petition was started by Hillary supporter Steve Rosinski, who served as part of the Clinton/Gore Advance Team in the 1990's. According to a change.org representative Arturo Holloway, a change.org member using a pseudonym hi-jacked the account and then deleted all traces of it. Mr. Holloway stated that such a breach of the site has never occurred, even in the case of the Chinese cyber attacks last month to protest a change.org petition to free Chinese dissident Ai Wei Wei. An investigation is being conducted into the hacking of Mr. Rosinski's petition to determine exactly how it happened and who is responsible. Change.org has now turned the matter over to the authorities.
