As we've documentedbefore, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has a sharp funny bone.
She was yukking it up over the weekend, once again.
Some highlights, via transcripts provided by the State Department:
1.) On WikiLeaks: "The full breadth and depth of American artistry and the diversity of this extraordinary, dynamic nation of ours. I am writing a cable about it, which I'm sure you'll find soon on your closest website. (Laughter and applause.)"
[SNIP]
5.) On the START treaty: "And I believe that we have enough votes to recognize the national security importance of doing this. But I'm not counting any chickens until they vote. [Laughter.]"
As people are increasingly disappointed with the current occupant of the WH, they are increasingly impressed with the talents, skills and experience offered by the other one who should have been sent there to begin with.

I think another reason why the public is learning to appreciate Hillary is because she is allowing us to see these other sides to her personality. Until a couple of years ago on the campaign trail, I had NEVER heard her laugh. I also don't remember her being funny. When Hillary was First Lady, she was either uber-serious about some important issue or else she looked miserable. She went through some difficult times then, and it showed.
I'm sure this lighter side to her personality has existed all along, but she didn't let it out in public until these last few years. In general, Hillary appears to feel more confident and more comfortable with herself. And again, it shows and the American people are responding to it.
Yes, we Hillary supporters always knew of her backbone. The big We on the left, Majority of Obama voters and some on the right who forever criticized Hillary and conveniently latched onto Hillary supporters to gain votes for McCain are only just figuring out who is the stronger one.
