The musings of a contrite Obama supporter...

Candidly, I was vehemently opposed to Hillary Clinton during the 2008 primaries. At the time, I wasn’t really enamored by any of the candidates, but believed the defeat of Clinton (and hopefully the end of the Clinton era) was the most important aspect of the presidential campaign.

So, when Obama won the primaries, I was ecstatic. In fact, I said to many of my friends at the time that Hillary’s defeat was the most important event of the presidential campaign.

Well, a lot’s happened since November 2008, and most of it’s bad. Obama isn’t what the American voters bargained for. In fact, his lack of experience and his poor choice of advisors, coupled with an arrogant and fiercely partisan demeanor has been bad for our country.

He managed to pass an ineffectual economic stimulus package, a terrible health care reform bill, and an empty financial law while ignoring the most important issue in America- unemployment. I suppose he was more focused on accomplishments that would enhance his legacy.

Someone recently said to me that Obama’s foreign policies are 80-90% Bush/Cheney. This person is absolutely correct.

Obama has not closed Gitmo after making it one of his most important issues during the campaign. And, he has adopted the Bush/Cheney “secrecy” mentality to “protect national security”.

He “ended” the war in Iraq, but is leaving 50,000 troops in harm’s way for the foreseeable future. He’s increased our exposure in Afghanistan, a senseless operation that will, likely, end horribly.

And, the status of the U.S. globally, after an initial bump, is right back to where it was with Bush.

Back to Hillary. During the past two years, she has gained invaluable on-the-job experience as Secretary of State. In fact, her accomplishments dwarf the rest of the administration. Her latest breakthrough was to bring together the Palestinians and the Israelis.

I’m convinced Clinton is a much better person to be in the White House than Obama. She has distinguished herself away from her husband and has been loyal to the president until now.

It’s mindboggling to think that a cabinet member of an administration would oppose an incumbent president. But, what the heck? It’s the 21st Century.

So, after the Democrats are annihilated in the November congressional elections, Hillary should resign as Secretary of State and oppose Obama in the Democratic primaries.

And, you know what? She will win the primaries and be the next president ofthe United States. There’s no doubt in my mind that the Democratic Party will embrace her after all the damage done by the Obama administration.

I would ask you one question, “Do you really think Obama will win the next presidential election?” If not, and you are a Democrat, get on the Hillary bandwagon.

I’m not the first person to bring up this seemingly far-fetched suggestion. But, you just wait. After November, many people will be clamoring for Hillary.

Many people are already clamoring for Hillary. They were clamoring for her in 2008, but the Party threw her under the bus and cheated her out of the nomination. But hey, at least this person is waking up. Hopefully there will be others... Many, many others.

We all must learn lessons in life.  For the younger generation of Dems, they have been big time slapped into the reality of choosing hype over substance.  This may be a good thing not just for 2012, but for all elections in the future.

Yet another seemingly bright, concerned citizen who thought Barack was The One. It's mind boggling that so many smart people were bamboozeled, to use an Obama term. In this person's zeal to see the "Clinton era" end she supported Barack, and declared Hillary's "defeat" the greatest accomplishment?! WTF. What was it that the author objected to about the Clinton era? Was it the jobs, the improved economy, or the deficit reduction that was so objectionable? Well, regardless, apparently another one awakens from the Kool-aide stupor.

It's interesting that this author notes that Hillary has "distinguished herself from her husband" during her service as SOS. Hillary was a sitting senator at the time she decided to run for potus - and a damn good one. She worked extremely hard, expecting no special treatment or advancement, and to my knowledge, her husband didn't show up at the capitol everyday to tell her how to vote. I'd say she distinguished herself long before becoming SOS - though, she has been nothing short of stunning in that position.

Run Hillary Run!

The author there is simply making excuses for their own stupid decision.  Yeah, what was it about the Clinton years that they didnt like? The country came way ahead thanks to their work.

Hillary was always a working professional with a regular paying job; with the sole exception of the 8 years in WH when she was a Volunteering working professional and a year or so after when she was campaigning for the senate job.  Even when she was running for the Dem nom, she was seriously engaged in her senate job - I know because of the many responses we got for various things from her Senate office.  She is phenomenal - nothing fell through!  We just didnt see her visit our town as much... but there was focus on the work of NY and the backyards of NYC nonetheless.

Run, Hillary, Run for 2012! :)

The writer of this article can't even get basic facts correct -- He says one of the reasons he was against Hillary is because Hillary was in the Senate for only TWO years.

Well, no. Hillary was in the Senate for a lot longer than that. Interesting though, what such a slip reveals about the writer's unconscious LOL.

yes the poor author confused Obama's amount of time in the senate with Hillary's time.
