New Jersey Senator John Corzine looked on wistfully. “I just wish,” Corzine said shaking his head, “I mean I knew — she would have been able to handle this Congress… but it was just Obama’s time.”

odd comment considering she has been working towards the WH much longer and Obama is very young with plenty of time to get there

yeah, Amy, I agree with you totally. That's the sample soundbite from the good old boys club of Dem party shirking responsibility without pointing to supernatural causes.   Come on boys, take responsibility!!!  You guys chose the wrong horse.    Winning is not just about winning Presidential election - it is about doing the correct, decent thing by the party and what is the right thing for the country!!!!

Anyways, I loved this little segment by the author Fashion Professor.

Clinton wore a blue and white-checked cotton shirt with chinos. Hillary was doing her own style thing in a bright African print tunic and slacks. [Not even going to go there, guys. Hill has earned the right to wear whatever she damn well pleases without further comment from anyone, not even The Fashion Professor.]

Damn straight!  LOL.    You hear that Chris Matthews?  Any more tingles man?

I hope to some day soon hear Hillary Clinton ask Chris Matthews to take (his) garbage out...

I hope 2008 taught the country to wake up to what is really important in making your choice for a President.  It is not about color nor gender. It is ALL about experience and ability to lead.  And in that calculus, REAL communication is what is important. Be VERY weary of eloquence - be it from a man or a woman.  Watch out for cant words and slogans and be on your guard to listen closely to their policy positions, their stand and their actions and true accomplishments.  Everything about them and their history as an individual including what adversities they have faced in life, how they have faced it,  how they prioritized in their life and what they have done with their key stakeholders, and how they have overcome their adversities -- all are important, telling things in making decisions about a candidate.   Need to really dig deep on candidates before we vote.  Especially so in primaries.

And, by the way, we realy do not want nor need affirmative action presidencies nor any guilt candidates on the presidential ballots.  Every candidate who gets on that ballot needs to earn it through their life's work of PUBLIC SERVICE.  Using a radio/television microphone to criticize the POTUS is NOT public service.  Candidates who rise to the presidential nominee for November ballot need to have done some SERIOUS WEIGHTY CONSTRUCTIVE WORK in public service official capacity preferably including some voting records on legislation that will show us where their true principles/allegiances are and that will give us some real understanding of the leader in the candidate in them.  Otherwise, it is all projection of our hopes and dreams to the candidate who is most eloquent, and we know where it gets us and the economy.

Vigorously stamping all responses!! lol

You guys said what needed to be said.

Why was it "Obama's time"? Because he's an AA male? When might it be time for a woman - in the opinion of the good ole boy Dems? They kept the best candidate from being given her rightfully won nomination, in order to award it to someone with no experience and no apparent loyalty to America.

The Dems knew what they were doing, and allowed this unqualified man to become installed as the nom, anyway. The progs in the party knew his agenda (even if he hasn't fulfilled it all) was as far to the left as theirs. The moderates knew he lacked the ability to take care of business, but most of them lacked the guts to go against Pelosi, Dean and pals, not to mention MSM. No one wanted to tell the truth about the fact that Obama was in no way equipped to be potus - even though they damn well knew it. They knew Hill was the one who could do the job. Those who stood by their principles, and supported Hillary set themselves apart from the others in their party who allowed themselves to be coerced, persuaded, threatened to endorse Obama.

The Dems deserve to lose - big time in Nov. I, for one, can't wait for them to get what they deserve. It's not as if the country would be any worse off - even with Pubs running the show. Hell, the Dems have done more to destroy reproductive rights than the Pubs have. They have destroyed the economy. There are no jobs. Health care is still a scary unknown. I repeat. How the hell much worse could it get?
