Book TV: Anne Kornblut: "Notes From the Cracked Ceiling"
Washington Post White House correspondent examines the national campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin and other female politicians to answer the questions if and how a woman will ever be elected U.S. President. Her findings determine that it's unlikely a woman will be elected president in the near future.
I tend to agree with Anne Kornblut's perspective on what is said in the clip above. In particular, I noticed the early confidence and the progressive and severe waning of confidence in Palin. She has still not fully recovered to the level of confidence she projected in the first two-three days after she was declared the VP nominee.
Also, I got a chance to flip through Anne Kornblut's book. It came across as quite well written. Hope to read more of it next weekend. The rate at which I read, I cannot afford all the books I want to get (as also what I already buy for my kid, LOL). So, I just hang around the coffee shop at Borders with a few picks every weekend for an hour. So, this book is on the list for this weekend again.
