Perhaps if they stop their chauvanistic concept that women need their hands held more women would run as republicans. Wow what a statement and I bet he didn't think he was saying anything wrong.
Spot on, except, the person saying is a female and top official in GOP party! How ironic!
Yes, many good comments there.
GOP as a party is way behind on women's equality. I would like to see Sarah Palin make some remarks on women's equality, and have not heard any from her so far.
Recently, Michele Bachmann was the target of sexism, but she did not call it "sexism" and did not make any statement about women's equality. I was disappointed about that.

The GOP wants to recruit more women candidates, so they're going about it in their singularly surreal, tone-deaf, GOP-ish manner. Say what you will about them: They are way entertaining.
Republican National Committee co-chair Jan Larimer: "Women sometimes need a little more handholding, or they need their friends to help them make a decision."
=======================================
Yep, tone-deaf indeed!
It is the social agenda and the narrow-mindedness of GOP that has stopped me from joining the party. It is incredible that their umbrella is so small; even smaller than I had realized before.

First of all I was equally offended by Jennifer's comment that women who vote Republican must be stupid and are a slap in the face to their gender. Funny like I answered this stupid woman I think anyone who voted for Obama is a slap in the face to their gender and frankly I think the Democrats really need to rethink their attitudes they are losing the inner city African American voters and they are losing women. They act so superior but remember who the pigs were in 2008 is all I am saying.
