Matthews On Obama: 'I Forgot He Was Black Tonight' (VIDEO)
Chris Matthews offered a strange analysis of President Obama's State of the Union address on MSNBC: "I forgot he was black tonight."
"I was trying to think about who he was tonight, and it's interesting," Matthews said. "He is post racial by all appearances, you know. Y'know, I forgot he was black tonight for an hour. He's gone a long way to become a leader of this country and past so much history in just a year or two."
This goes right along with the tingles remark. Come to think of it, if he forgot about it, how does he know he forgot about it?.. And, does this mean he does not forget it in all other occasions? Geez that is not good Chris Matthews!
Does that count as analysis? Really??

This is so wrong on so many levels. I am going to put a racist cracker thread up. Here's the difference between racial and racist.
Jimmy the Greek said that blacks dominate in sports because during slavery times the Plantations breeded big black men with big black women who could run fast. This is not racist because that is exactally what happened.
What Chris Matthews said is that "he" forgot that he was black. What the hell is wrong with being black? What did he mean by that? He meant that Obama reminded him of the white guy this kind of foolishness is the same as Harry Reid commenting on his black dialect.
I will slap any black person upside the head if they don't start pulling their heads out of the sand. They are acting like women a few years ago. Now so many are thinking that racism is over. No its not over and we still have to stand against it. Chris Matthews needs to be reprimended for this.
Someone does need to email chrissy and ask him what's so wrong with beign black that chrissy needs to forget. If he remembers Obama is black does he not get that big of a tingle up his leg?
Here's the kicker. All day long yesterday, I was looking for Pres.Obama and SOTU stuff.. well in between work.. and scouring the internet for that and 2010 election stuff. I was also watching the News.
In reflecting on the day, I do not recall a single mention of Black.. until this Chris Matthews clip.
I was actually searching in YouTube for potential posting of Pres.Obama's SOTU speech when I came across that clip, and was AGHAST!
Chris Matthews was REMINDING US THAT PRES.OBAMA IS BLACK. WHY?????
It was utterly wrong thing to do.

Not to mention the fact that by making that statement he was implying something was wrong with being black.
I would never here anyone say about a white person that " I forgot he/she was white. I expect to hear someone say "I forgot she was a woman" when we break that ceiling.
HMG, I wonder if this is even more serious. Was he saying that he has been holding the President to a different standard because he is black? If so, what standard was that?
It is NEVER a good thing to "analyze" someone and say hey, I forgot he is black. Excuse, me but was that supposed to be part of the analysis?? How so?
