President hasn't had the time to do better; if he had truly wanted to make fundamental change, he would have gone in there fast and done his own version of shock and awe in the first hundred days. And not because he didn't realize how mean all those Republicans can be, either; Obama knew what he was getting into, and if he didn't, then he was as unprepared for the job as his opponents said he was.

I don't know if we should re-brand the Green Party, or draft another Democrat to challenge Obama in the primaries in 2012. But one thing I know that we shouldn't do is pretend to ourselves that this man is delivering on what he promised when he first won our hearts.

Oh my! Quite an awakening there! Yeah, great question.

Green party? Are they going to split off as a far left party or something like that? May be the Blue Dogs can split off into a separate party!

I vote for Hillary 2012. I don't care what letter is next to her name on the ballot. It can be a D, an R, an I, or a good, old-fashioned FU.

The one thing I don't want to do in 2012 is cast a protest vote for some unknown Libertarian or Green who has absolutely no chance of winning even one state. If these parties were going to move from the margins and into the mainstream, they would be there already. Look at what's happening with the tea party movement-- in less than a year, it has become a national phenomenon. But the Greens and the Libertarians and the other established 3rd parties? The proverbial tree falling in the forest when there's nobody there is making more noise.

Yes, I have grave doubts on the viability of a third party. A small far-left chunk can split off the Dems and the more conservative Dems can consolidate along with the Center; that may lead to a good election year in 2012.. :) I would LOVE to vote for Hillary!

I assume this, Marianne Williamson, is the New Age type author who has written much about women's strength. I have some of her books, and came within an inch of burning them after she bathed in the Kool-Aide. As I recall, in endorsing Obama, her description of him was positively worshipful. A number of other so-called "enlightened. spiritual" leaders also were baptized in the Kool-Aide, and became Obamaevangelists.

Just goes to show that anyone can write a book, and claim to be insightful, enlightened, and in touch with their higher selves. But, the proof is in the pudding. Anyone claiming to be insightful who actually bought that BS that Obama was selling in 2008, is seriously deluded. Having insight is about truly understanding something or someone. Those who thought Obama was a cross between Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, and the Dali Llama weren't really all that insightful after all.

Marianne Williamson used to be the pastor of a church in suburban Detroit called the Church of Today. I heard a rumor that during one of her services, she told all the white people in the congregation to go hug a black person and apologize for slavery. If I were a black person sitting in those pews, I would have made a mad dash for the nearest exit! The last thing I'd want is a bunch of guilty white liberals slobbering all over me.

Yes, she's white. Given the location of the church, I would guess it was/is mostly white also. (I don't know if it's still there now that she has left town.)

That's ridiculous! Burdening current generation with guilt for their forefathers' action in their life-settings.  No excuses for anyone.  Facts are as they are.  I certainly have no guilt current or prior generation!  LOL.  I wonder if she feels guilty.  May be she has a not so pure mind.

In some ways, I wonder.... if statements like that support/justify angst and anger from blacks towards current generation of whites.    Intent vs. Impact!!!   Bad impact of this is huge!

If I was in the congregation, I would have shouted; "Are you kidding?"
