Government Orders Airlines to Let Passengers Off Stranded Planes or Face Fines

The Transportation Department responded to tarmac horror stories by ordering airlines to allow passengers stuck in stranded airplanes to deplane after three hours or face a fine of $27,500 per passenger for each violation of the three-hour limit.

I like this regulation. Frankly 3 hours is a bit too long of an imprisonment especially if it is going over a lunch hour or dinner hour.
