Gore Vidal isn't afraid to say what he really thinks about the Roman Polanski fiasco. "I really don’t give a f--k. Look, am I going to sit and weep every time a young hooker feels as though she’s been taken advantage of?" he tells the Atlantic in a wide-ranging interview, adding that the real story is getting twisted, and that "anti-Semitism got poor Polanski."
"The media can’t get anything straight," Vidal continues. "Plus, there’s usually an anti-Semitic and anti-f-g thing going on with the press—lots of crazy things. The idea that this girl was in her communion dress, a little angel all in white, being raped by this awful Jew, Polacko—that’s what people were calling him—well, the story is totally different now from what it was then."
Can you believe this scumbag???
FYI, I bleeped out two different F-words, the one that rhymes with duck and the one that rhymes with bag.
Vidal's a major pervert. Even though I'm glad you posted the thread, so people can know that, one can utterly dismiss what he says on the subject. He's messed up in la cabeza.

Well.....I agree with him on that one point. The rest of his comments are disgusting. No one can truly deny what Polanski did and he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. If they let that scum sucking, low life off the hook I'm leaving the country.
This A-hole is sub-human. It doesn't matter if the girl was in her communion dress or black leather and spiked heels - she was 13 years old. She was a child. It was a crime. It had noting to do with Polaski's religion or ethnicity. It had everything to do with his penis and his lecherous mind.
And, if Gore Vidal thinks it's just fine for one person to force another to have sex, let him spend some time with Roman in prison. There just might be a big fellow on his cell block, who has been locked away, sexually deprived for 25 years, who might help change Gore's mind.
