by mass4martha
According to the just-released World Economic Forum’s 2009 Global Gender Gap Report, the United States ranks 61st among 134 nations in the political empowerment of women. We’re behind human rights powerhouses Cuba, Nicaragua, Uganda, Pakistan, and China.
When education, economy and health are added to the considerations, we rank 31 (slipping from 27 last year). When measuring political empowerment regionally, the report places North America behind Sub-Sarahan Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Western Europe

Those are AMAZING figures! And they kind of dash the image of America as a world leader in the empowerment of females. Wonder what accounts for it? No doubt the idiot media, in large part.
