"The Obama administration’s war on Fox has turned the usually fawning media against the President.  Thursday’s attempt to exclude Fox News from a round of network interviews with a White House official backfired. Very badly.
Thankfully, the Washington bureau chiefs for the other networks rallied to Fox’s defense. They told the Obama administration that none of them would do the interviews if Fox was excluded. Obama’s minions relented.
The support of the other networks was more about protecting the First Amendment, and their own hides, than it was about helping Fox News. The networks are smart enough to realize that excluding one particular media member from White House coverage sets a dangerous precedent.
Barack Obama and chief of staff Rahm Emanuel also flat-out lied to us this week when they claimed they were not focusing on Fox News. That is exactly what they are doing.  Three senior staffers, the President, and the White House website are all using our tax dollars to go after one specific member of the media, because FNC airs stories that do not always jibe with Obama’s liberal agenda."
It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union.... Men, their rights and nothing more; women, their rights and nothing less. ~Susan B. Anthony
I am glad to hear this. Whatever it takes. This is way beyond bizarre.
I personally believe "that one" has no intentions of running for re-election. (unless the republicans run somebody so horrendous nobody would vote). His ego will not tolerate losing. I predict he will make some excuse announcement about it being too hard on his children, ect. (the right thing would have been for him to decline the peace prize,,,but when he goes back to chicago, that million will come in handy)
I believe he, pelosi, ect are determined to shove their socialist agenda one way or the other, and are trying to ram all they can through before the 2010 elections.
He won't get his public option, but stretching this over ten years, imo, will bankrupt the insurance companies, or force them to move from health coverage to home insurance or whatever, and he has his socialized medicine anyway.
If he and pelosi don't get this done before the 2010 elections, they know they failed.
We have to keep the pressure on. Fox, the demonstrations, are working. We have to keep going.

We're playing a high-stakes game of Whack-A-Mole here. We might not be able to whack all of the moles, but we sure can whack some of them. And the conservatives can whack some, the angry liberals can whack some, and so on. We may not always agree with Fox News, but they're among the best players in this game, and we have to stick up for them.
The Obama camp lied, and Fox proved it......then the networks came to their defense.
"Balitmore Sun media critic David Zurawik, was appalled by the WH blacklisting of Fox. What it's really about to me is the Executive brand of the governemtn trying to tell the press how it should behave. I mean, this democracy - we know this- only works with a free and unfettered press to provide information." Zurawik said.
Gibbs then proceeds to say it was a mistake by a young treasury staffer yeah sure

Huffington Post reports that Robert Gibbs told Fox News White House correspondent Major Garrett that the attempt to exclude Fox News from a series of interviews with Special Master for TARP Executive Compensation Kenneth R. Feinberg was a mistake by a young Treasury Department staffer. Fox News exec Michael Clemente comments.
According to some of the Tea Party folks I'm following on Twitter, the ratings for Fox News have gone waaay up since Obama started this beef with them.
The Obama mismanagement of the media for a long time now has been setting the stage for W.H. control of the message. The media really ought to have known when they went along with this in the primary they would be uber controlled IF he got into the W.H. What? they thought he wouldn't try to utterly control the message afterward too? Well, now they are seeing just how intent he is on ONLY "allowing" positive spin on his agenda and himself. Good thing they spoke up finally, some of them have a lot of explaining to do to the American people about their silence, complacence and compliance with this "controlling of the message" for a long time now. Now it has back fired on THEM and they fight back. Too bad they couldn't have fought back for the American people's right to know a long while ago.
I hope they rake him over the coals. It would also be nice if every utterance was picked to pieces in a negative way such as what they chose to do even to the point of lying against Hillary and others. They KNOW they put him in the W.H. What he fails to understand is that they can also take him out.
