All I can say is WTF?!

Surprise, Surprise: Obama Advisor (Female) Thinks Sharia Law is “Misunderstood”

~

~By InsightAnalytical-GRL

Thanks to Kenosha Marge for bringing this story to our attention!   According to theTelegraph (U.K.), an advisor in this Administration is giving Sharia Law a free pass.

President Barack Obama’s adviser on Muslim affairs, Dalia Mogahed, has provoked controversy by appearing on a British television show hosted by a member of an extremist group to talk about Sharia Law.

Barack Obama adviser says Sharia Law is misunderstood

Miss Mogahed, appointed to the President’s Council on Faith-Based and Neighbourhood Partnerships, said the Western view of Sharia was “oversimplified” and the majority of women around the world associate it with “gender justice”.

The White House adviser made the remarks on a London-based TV discussion programme hosted by Ibtihal Bsis, a member of the extremist Hizb ut Tahrir party.

Where to begin?

First, an appearance with the leader of an extremist group is disturbing.  I don’t know how an extremist leader gets to host a show on British television, but then again, I didn’t get it when Sharia Law was given an entree into the British legal system awhile back. (See our previous post on this subject: While Hillary and Sarah Get Trashed in the U.S., Muslim Women in Britain Get Sharia Law).

And I certainly don’t get someone from the Administration showing up…oh, but, for this Administration it shouldn’t be a shock at all.  By the way, Hizb ut Tahrir had a meeting in suburban Chicago this past July (See: Chicago Suburb Hosts Hizb ut-Tahrir Conference; Organization Aims to Re-Establish an International Islamic State (Caliphate), Supports Jihad).

Then there’s the matter of this “Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships”  which is a continuation of George W.  Bush’s old  White House setup on steroids.  I didn’t like it when Bush set it up and I certainly don’t like it now.  And, of course, we saw it coming during the primaries, so I’ve been nursing this disgust for a long time.

Then there’s the signal of this crowd’s attitude toward women that continues to be less than great.

And, this latest salvo comes from a woman.

What’s up with this willingness by “liberal” women to sell out women?  We saw it withMs. Magazine and all many female Democrats during the primaries.  Supposedly NOW chose a woman to head the organization who iss ready for a fight, but I haven’t heard a peep out of her, have you?

The article has a few doozies from Mogahed, but this pretty much says it all:

Miss Mogahed admitted that even many Muslims associated Sharia with “maximum criminal punishments” and “laws that… to many people seem unequal to women,” but added: “Part of the reason that there is this perception of Sharia is because Sharia is not well understood and Islam as a faith is not well understood.”

Oh, please!

Mogahed was born in Egypt and, according to the piece, “Her appointment was seen as a sign of the Obama administration’s determination to reach out to the Muslim world.”

And does “reaching out” mean ignoring the abuses women face under Sharia?

One more thing.  Mogahed is “executive director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies, a project which aims to scientifically sample public opinion in the Muslim world.”

Thank you so much for getting this information out. I am not surprised that Obama has partnered her with the federal program "Faith Based", using tax payers money, for this woman to travel the world, and gather up information for her polls (regardless her methodlogy). I'm not in favor of this program, Bush, and Obama neither have the abilities to track the "grants" that go out to 501 C programs, and how effective they are. Obama himself has been a part of the biggest grant bandits in our history.

She's not a religious scholar, after she graduated she worked for Proctor & Gamble as a marketing products researcher, and she is now marketing "Sharia". Her message is don't criticize Sharia, its' way too complex. When in fact it is terrorism.

This is Obama's way to pit women against women, that way he obtains more power. Just another ploy that he used during the election. He gets a gold star for this tactic.

Is she a member of Obama's Council on Women? It's time for an American Women's group to bring her into the fold, and have a debate on Sharia law, the banks, and have a round table event with her. Maybe Now, or New Agenda, or Puma, can arrange this kind of meeting.

I hear ya freespirit, women are betraying women, and we need to come face to face with them.

If this is un-pc or makes me a bigot, so be it.

I was in the grocery store yesterday when a couple came in. He was wearing jean cutoff shorts and a t-shirt. She was wearing a full out burka. I couldn't even see her eyes through those slits.

I felt such a surge of rage. I literally had to fight myself to keep quiet and go on and mind my business. Because I wanted to walk right up, knee him in the balls, take her hand, and bring her home with me.

I don't want to "understand sharia".  If this makes me a bigot, then I am a bigot.

There is something very wrong here, and I don't think it's going too far to call it evil.  For those inclined to pray, I think we need to apply ourselves to the threat of Islam and sharia on a daily basis, and of course take other action, such as letting our feelings be known, where we can.  It is silently letting all this go by in the name of political correctness that is dangerous.

Thanks so much, FreeSpirit!

I am not hiding my anger anymore. I don't give one damn what sharia is about nor do I care to learn. I know all I need to know about them when I see the man dressing western while the women are buried under black shrouds so much that even their eyes cannot be seen. That is ****ed up and I no longer will be all pc and act like I think they should be respected.  They are evil imo and nobody who treats women that way will change my opinion.

I know what you mean Shadow! Couple of weeks ago I was in a local store, and spotted a recently released sex offender (25 years in/out prison). I went crazy, and went up and down the aisle to look him in the eye, and I mean that evil eye.

Sharia is no more defensible than the fundamentalist of the LDS are. It's oppressive, it's insulting to women in the west who are being asked to "accept" it and it's dangerous and abusive to the women who are subjected to it all their lives.
