Donna Darko had this posted today from a year ago by not you sweetie.  This piece made me so proud of us.  PUMAs are strong, independent, fighting revolutionaries!!

I love the comments.

GOP bloggers in awe of PUMA

October 22, 2008 ·

Via Not Your Sweetie:

Crystal the Democrat read Glenn Beck the riot act. I will paraphrase (with poetic license) as to the gist of her rant.

“What the hell is WRONG with you people? Is it just not IN you to say something positive about McCain? Obama scares the bejeasus out of me and you people are NOT helping. It’s like you WANT Obama elected rather than putting McCain in the Whitehouse for some balance to the government.”

Now. I do not know if Crystal is a PUMA, but I’m betting she is — because from what I’ve read on the PUMA sites these people take no prisoners and are full tilt scorched earthing McCain into office if it takes their last breath whether they like him or not.

My fellow Republicans — we are not worthy.

Now get off your asses and find positive things to say about McCain to anyone who will listen! This fight isn’t over and it’s a sad day indeed when there are Democrats fighting harder for our candidate than us.

In comments:

Damn right, you are not worthy. PUMAS have risked lifelong relationships to prevent Obama from accomplishing his Anschluss. What Republican can say the same?

Crystal the Democrat seemed genuine and genuinely pissed off — which is why I suspect she’s a PUMA. I went looking for the PUMA sites when all was gloom and doom on the conservative sites and someone there said the PUMAs were still in the fight.

So I went to see this for myself.

Ho.My.Gawd are they still in the fight. I had no idea Democrats could be so fierce! It restored my faith in America, not so much because they were supporting McCain, but because they were able to “see” Obama for the trainwreck that he is.

I bow. I really do. We ARE all Americans regardless of party and I am inspired as all hell by what I’ve read on the PUMA blogs and websites.

Thanks.

Wow!  That's like a balm to my soul.  We seriously did take on the world, putting PRINCIPLES before EVERYTHING ELSE!!  Why wouldn't we?  Shouldn't everyone?

Thanks so much, FreeSpirit, and good morning, Hillary's World!donut.gif (donut - what I wish I had right nowwink)

That was so refreshing for me.

quote from article:
{it’s a sad day indeed when there are Democrats fighting harder for our candidate than us.}

This. It was 10 at night before I finally felt defeat and realized obama *won*.  I still don't understand what happened. We worked so hard. We knew, we got behind McCain. I felt we were handing this to the republicans.  I felt there was no way, no way, that fraud could *win*. Yet he did.

For a long time I held much anger at the republicans. They didn't vote because "McCain is too moderate". I wonder if they like what they got?

Reading that article has helped me lose some of my anger. I am so happy to see they recognize how really hard we worked, and still are working, for what is best for this country, above party and "personality".

And Obama will win again because right now I'm seeing on a lot of republican sites that "What we need is a REAL republican, someone far right again!" They simply do not see they cannot win that way. The ONLY reason so many PUMAS were able to vote McCain was that he was more of a centrist. He did not win when ten percent of republicans simply did not vote or were against him for not being far enough right. So they stayed home and will do again unless the right runs a real righty in which case the centrists will not support that and Obama takes the W.H. again.

I know I'm not voting far right even to keep Obama out. I cannot and I'm not alone. It was hard enough to vote for McCain as a prog as it was.

If this mess of the far, far right and the far, far left isn't sorted out before 2012 and people don't wake up and realize that the majority of Americans won't turn out for a far anything then Obama will take it by default. I am a pretty far left prog and even I know that Hillary was the best chance for me to have someone in the W.H. who can do most of what I believe in. Nadar is not going to win, neither is anyone else who cannot represent up the middle.

It's always a compromise...that is if you don't cheat as well as Obama did it is.
