For those of you who are unfamiliar with Paul Petersen, he is a former child actor (he played Jeff on "The Donna Reed Show") who now heads an advocacy group for current as well as former child actors called A Minor Consideration. And he is as appalled by Hollywood's reaction to the Polanski case as we are.
In Polanski's case it's time for both the Message and the Messenger to be brought to account by our legal system. We can do our part by carefully noting who has signed the Polanski Petition and then evaluating our choices as consumers.
I had not heard of that organization. But, I'm glad to see he supports the rights of children not to be drugged and raped.
It's really hard to believe that so many are trying to spin this as no big deal. To that child it was a very big deal, and based on my work with abused children, I would pretty much guarantee it has impacted her life in ways the Hollywood elites could not begin to imagine.
Great find, Jen.

Paul understands child sexual abuse, and he sees that the elites of Hollywood want Polanski's case to be forgtotten and forgiven.
Arnold Schwarzenegger came out and said Polanski should not get special treatment because he is a big time movie director. In the same breath he said, "I think he is a very repected person, I am a big admirer of his work, none the less, he should be treated like everyone else.
That reminds me of a woman who was badly beaten by her husband, and when I called the police, she refused to press charges, saying he was such a good man when he was drinking. WTH?
