I am looking around for a brick to throw at the tv because I am trying to listen to this lie on tv. My first time ever listening to him.

So far, all I have heard is what amounts to a government takeover. He is going to make it law forcing, yes, forcing, every person to buy his insurance. He compared it to auto insurance laws. A law forcing people to buy it.

He says his insurance will make it illegal for insurance companies to deny coverage, blah blah, which is going to force every one of them to close up shop. And that leaves the government with complete control.

I am still waiting for this fool to explain how he is going to force doctors and hospitals to accept this crap. If he does all this, doctors are going to leave. He is going to bankrupt the whole country.

People, we have to find a way to stop him.

Problem with his comparison is a person can CHOOSE wether or not to have car insurance, because a person can CHOOSE not to drive and own a car. Thus avoiding the cost of car insurance. However, Obama's plan FORCES everyone to BUY insurance for themselves and their minor children (who knows when that responsibility will end-- but I'm sure it will not be 18). And there is NO WAY to "CHOOSE" not to. So Obama's analogy is crap.

yes. I am sitting here, appalled. He is now making threats. He is name-calling, threatening anyone who doesn't agree with him, and I am about to blow a gasket.

He is going to take money from medicare and medicaid to pay for this crap. How? I have medicaid and they pay doctors who sign up to be providers three dollars a month per patient. How the hell can he cut that?

I am furious right now. I guess this will teach me never to listen to his speechs ever again.

Well, I can tell you what I DIDN'T do and that was listen to that lying, thieving asshat!!! I actually went gambling while my husband and daughter went to the movies. I won a bit of money so it was a successful jaunt. Much more satisying than listening to that moron drone on and on with his pack of lies.

I saw it on politico, Obama was so annyoed and pelosi looked she wanted to do some real damge, it was disprespectul of the congressman and it wont win him any fans, and I am sayings this as someone who doesn't like Obama much.

I just about cried when he described US character to Ted Kennedy, mercy, mercy.

He said he is going to require, make it law, that every single person has to buy the insurance. It isn't the same as a car as he said because people have the choice to not drive. Are they going to lock people up who won't be able to obey this law because they cannot afford it?

To answer thebword's original question, yes I really was watching paint dry during 0's speech. I bought a pair of used kid-size overalls and I'm painting them with fairies and flowers and hearts and lots and lots of glitter. It's a surprise for my 7-year-old niece. So instead of listening to 0's speech, I was working on the overalls.

10 minutes: Have fun on the computer

10 minutes: Work on writing an article that's due Monday

10 minutes: Housework or clean office

That way, every 30 minutes, I've at least accomplished something! wink

The lie thing was FANTASTIC! Barack Obama deserves no respect at all, no matter WHAT office he is in. He's a thug, a liar, a cheater, and a usurper. Rep. Joe Wilson just said what so many WANT to say in such a public forum and he is a HERO!
