I hope the police lock this sicko up for ever.  Those kids never attended school or a doctor.  I wonder what is going to happen.  What in the world was wrong with his wife?

Now that I've seen the comments, I'm not going to read the story, but it sounds awful!  God, please heal the minds and souls of all involved, according to Your Loving Light will.

That is all we can do is pray.

And what did the NY Times headline say today?:
"Kidnapping Victim Was Not Always Locked Away"

Subliminal message: why didn't she try harder to escape? Hm, lemme see. You're eleven. You've been raped repeatedy by a sexual predator, assisted no doubt by his equally predatory wife. He fathers two children by you --the first when you're 14. Years go by, you give up hope of ever being rescued. In the meantime, you've had virtually no contact with the outside world. You've spent much of the past 18 years, hidden away under tents in the back yard. The police get a 911 call that a sex monster has several children living in tents in his backyard and FAIL TO FOLLOW UP. Parole officers come to the house repeatedly and no-one seems to notice the tent city in the backyard.

Meanwhile, you've had no education, no means of support, and now you have two children depending on you to protect them, if you can...

The headline should be: How could the police have ignored that 911 call?

Its classic blame the victim what in the world was she supposed to do?  What in the world is wrong with the NYT?

This site has 30 photographs taken from within the backyard, where Jaycee and her daughters were "living".
