Lettermen and The Tonight show use mostly male writers. Are women funny? Yes women are funny but somehow the old boy network prefers to use men. Personally I don't think Lettermen and the Tonight show are funny. I prefer a different type of comedy. My sisters and I are really funny as well as my 14 year old. Its a natural talent and something almost impossible to learn. I want to see more women writers on tv period. Drama, comedy, the whole nine yards.
A great sense of humor is a wonderful thing to have. I have been told that I have "it".
I have known people that wouldn't have a clue as to what a sense of humor is . . . which is sad for them.
As far as Letterman and Leno go . . . I never cared for Letterman, but did watch Leno. I watch neither now. I haven't seen Leno, who now has been replaced by Conan O'Brien, since last year.
I haven't seen a comedy on television in a long time . . . they don't seem as funny as they use to when shows I grew up with were on. We do watch "Chuck" each week . . . it is a combination of drama, comedy, intrigue. Unfortunately, it is on NBC, but we make this "one" exception, because we like it so much.
The only comedy show I like is actually "My Name is Earl" I think that is funny. Unfortunity I only break the NBC boycott for the Biggest Loser so I have to wait until it plays on another channel.
