Anyone interested in joining a letter-writing campaign?

Several advertisers, including GEICO, Proctor & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, Sargento Foods, and others have pulled advertising from The Glenn Beck Show in response to comments he made regarding Barack Obama (called BO a racist, which he is) on Fox & Friends.

Obama’s Green Jobs Czar, the convicted felon and [Editor's Note: I actually find this on blogs, but haven't found it on a real news site, so I'm striking] self-declared communist Van Jones, has direct ties to the organization that’s trying to shut down Glenn Beck. Jones’s group has hired a big Hollywood PR firm and they are pressuring Glenn’s advertisers to stop advertising. If not, they’ll lead a boycott.

More information here.  Petition and more email addresses here.

I don't know how Hillary's World members feel about Glenn Beck, but I happen to respect him for the fact that he is the ONLY one with the guts to call it like it is about this administration -- even more so than  Rush or Hannity.  If you have been listening to his radio show or watching him on TV, you know what I mean.

I also don't know if anyone here still agrees with me about this, but I said on the HCF a year ago that Barack Obama would set race relations back about 50 years.  In my opinion, we're seeing it - from his membership in Rev. Wright's church to his insult of the Cambridge Police Dept.   I'll come right out and say it, I happen to agree with Mr. Beck:  our president is a racist.   So sue me.  If it's now considered "hate speech" to tell the truth, we're in bigger trouble in this country than I thought even a year ago.

If you agree, please join in this letter-writing campaign, and also join in the boycott of the products and services that are sold by these companies.

Even if you don't agree with Mr. Beck with regard to many political issues, remember....as RedState Blog said, if they are successful in shutting him down, who will be next?

Thank you.

Without Glenn Beck and the others at FoxNews, we would only be getting propaganda from the rest of MSM.

We need to be grateful that they are willing to get the truth out.

Let's write letters in support of him.

Here is the contact information for a few of the companies that pulled their advertisements from Beck's show.  Please e-mail them and let them know one of our constitutional rights is freedom of speech.  And, that they are not in any way or form responsible for the comments or views given by any news outlet and should not be pulling their advertisements, because a select few demand it who do not have any belief in our Constitution.

Well, Geico isn't budging. They're not changing their minds. We'll see.

Already got some emails back, but they were just form letters.

Its a lot easier to beat up Conservative men and get away with it. Not that the media cares about disrespecting women or any other groups either its just easier for them to get away with disrespecting whites.

I feel like the others - no real fan of Beck, but appreciate his having the guts to tell it like it is on Obama, and will join the letter writing campaign.

Just a side note regarding FOX. Oreilley, Beck, and Hannity have expressed outrage at other news outlets because of the names they have called the Tea Partiers and the Town Hall protesters. They were absolutely right to do so. But, I find it a little hypocritical that they are guilty of treating people on the left just s disrespectfully. Just a few nights ago, when Laura Ingram was sitting in for Bill O, she had a clip of Bill Clinton's speech to the net roots - which she sarcastically referred to as the "nut roots". It's every bit as wrong of Fox to ridicule Americans on the left, as it is for CNN and other news outlets to call the Tea Partiers and the Town Hall protesters names like "red necks", racists, etc. I have been disgusted with all three of the shows mentioned above for several reasons, not the least of which has been their negative talk about Bill and Hill. We knew they would back off the decent treatment they showed to Hillary during the primary. No surprises. But it seems to me that FOX is more than happy to use us Puma types and other moderate Dems and Indys to boost their ratings, while still railing on the Clintons whenever possible, and attacking people who are left of centerible. They have been particularly insulting about Hillary's role in the Clinton admin's attempt to reform health care.

I have written Oreilley to tell him how I feel, and plan to write Hannity and Beck, as well. There almost as much of a shortage of "fairness" and "balance" at FOX as there is at the other media outlets - with the exception of Greta's show. Having said that, I do appreciate that they're willing to report truthfully on the Fraud in Chief. This is jmho - others may feel differently, as they are entitled to do, of course.

Being a non-straight, non-white, non-black, non-hispanic, I believe that Mr. Obama is a Racist. His Church edict is based on a mono-race ethic. Anyone who is mono-race is racist.

There are many things I felt about Bush. One of them was disgusted. But I also felt pitty for the man. He just was a numb. But I could never imagine Bush offering "a black man and a white man to the white house for a racial beer."

I mean first, that is Sexist. Would Obama invite "a white woman and black woman for a beer"? Beer is all about male chauvinista.

I hate beer but my partner loves beer. But she is Polish from Poland. I am American and beer is a male symbol of bonding to my perception. So, I viewed the brewsky thing as a male chauvinist pig bond fire--superficial pig deal.

Second, the "black man" was a friend of Obama. How many other black men felt that they could just yell at a Police Officer? How many black men would think that they could yell at a Police Officer and Not Get Arrested? How many white men yell at a Police Officer and Not Get Arrested?

I can attest that I witnessed a White Woman raising her voice at a Police Officer when a Black Man had been attacking her verbally at a store. The White Police Officers turned on the well dressed White Woman while the Black Man acted like the victim. I can attest that she was the one the White Officers warned that they would arrest if she did not shut up and listen to them. So, really, no one can tell me that anyone who raises their voices and yells at a Police Officer should expect the Officer to Not Arrest them.

Third, I am appalled at the media or anyone calling that Brewsky Offer a "Teaching Moment". Okay, it is a teaching moment because it seems that a lot more people felt the same as I do, "The White House is not the Place to Act Like a Teacher, especially when it comes to  everyday people doing their jobs." The President is an Administrator. He oversees the Administration of Government--Federal Government, not State, County or City. It is Not his Place to Step into the Frey of a Process which was Departmental. If that "black man" (I do not know or wish to know his name) wanted to complain, he should ask for a Police Departmental Investigation. That is the route as well as the Court. Yet, he called on his political ally instead.

Fourth, Obama created a national uproar that he should not have done. His own racism caused his mouth to not be shut. On other issues that he obviously cares less about, he can keep calm, cool and collected. His mouth could not contain his hatred. Calling the Police Officer stupid or whatever was really a slip of his mouth.

As for writing letters, I think that any letters to be sent should be sent as general letters which state something like this;

"Please be fair and impartial in your judgement of placing your advertisements. It is not fair that you pulled ads on so-n-so for making a negative comment about Obama yet not pulling an ads on so-n-so for making a negative comment about Clinton. If you are going to pull ads, please be fair."

That is the short late night version. But it is the concept I meant.

I agree with you, Cajun.  At least Glenn Beck criticizes both parties, which is what is wrong with Rush & Hannity - they are die hard Republicans, and they push the "conservative" thing ad nauseum, and are more interested in the liberals vs. conservatives war than anything else.

Glenn can be way over dramatic, and totally out there sometimes, but it would appear that he's the only one with a pair of cajones big enough to say what he believes, and not toe the party line, and for that, he gets my respect.  I hate hypocrites and liars, and both parties are currently being run by hypocrites and liars.  Glenn's the only one who will say it.

Obama is the epitome of a racist, and a product of the race baiting that is common practice in Chicago.

Wal-mart, CVS, and Best Buy have now joined the boycott of Glenn Beck.
