The N Word and The B Word.

Washington Post recently wrote a peice telling Hillary Clinton she needs a b**ch beer. First of all I have had the pleasure of meeting Secretary Clinton several times during her Presidential campaign. She is a lot of things she is warm, funny, and engaging. She has a way of making you feel like you are the most important person in the world even if you are just a girl from the hood like I am. She is a lot of things but b**ch isn't one of them.

Two words in American English that are extemely vile and should never be mentioned by the media is N***er and the other one is b**ch both are equally vile and mean. We have come a long way in regards to the N-word it is no longer acceptable to say that word without causing the person who uttered that word many problems and that is how it should be.

Sadly it is not the same way with the B-Word. African American women as well as other minorities have some sort of protection but for white women it is perfectally acceptable to refer to white women as white b**ches. I am saying this as an African American woman I find that to be both racist and sexist. It is not ok to say that white women are b**ches. Its not acceptable to call any woman these names and it certainly isn't OK to add a race and say its OK.

Well said, my friend. I will never forget one pundit on CNN, calling Hillary a white b****. That was the last time I ever went to that station.

I remember that well and that's when I realised that they would have never referred to an African American woman as a "black bitch".   I am sick of ANY woman being called that.  Women own that word and it is no longer for rent.

I don't have cable t.v. anymore...why should I pay for an insipid bunch of pap from a corporate owned media who hate my gender and the one female leader who has enough power to change the world for women and everyone else? The language these people are so fine and dandy with using against this woman demeans us all every time they use it. They know this and do not care about you and me or our children.

I think it was an intentional attempt to harm women who would stand against their misogynist agenda. They want you and me to shut up and go away. To stop writing them about their portrayal of women in their program...Hillary represented what they most despise, a powerful woman who would help others to have their own power. She wanted to enfranchise the disenfranchised...they hated her for it. They hate HER because they hate women unless those women are just as they tell them to be when they tell them to be, how they tell them to be. Hillary wouldn't play that because it's wrong. Hence the consequences for her and all of us.

Great blog topic HMG!!!

Thank you AP that has bothered me since the Primary.  Hillary is tough but she is no b**ch. If she were she would have used her power to bring Oblahblah down dirty. She would have played the race card and the gender card to defeat him. Hummm the way that Oblahblah won.

You know what? I didn't know about this. As far as I am concerned this is hate speech against women. It demeans us all so much. Can we bring a class action law suit or something which points up how this language is not JUST about "Hillary" They know that..they know it and yet they do it anyway. I don't think until we really slam them in the pocketbook for sexual harassment or something as a massive group that they will ever believe they have to "get it" I'm so sick of just complaining and writing letters about this ****. Sorry for the cussing, but I really can't take this any more. Hillary Clinton is THE most admired and powerful female of our times...and we have to endure having her treated this way and by PROXY all of us?? This is flat out abusive of all women.

I was watching a recently released movie...........Oh, yea Hollywood gets away with the N word, and B word, and everybody runs out to watch it or buy it. They trick you when you are not aware that these words are a part of the movie, too late you already paid for it, and
then half way through it you have to leave the theather, or eject it, and toss it in the dump box. The path of this kind of behavior is ever increasing and not decreasing. When we can stop this from being on tv, along with all the violence, when we can turn the big screen off, then we will be moving in the right direction.

Politcians & the media think they are equivalent to "hollywood" stars and that we accept it
year in year out............I'm sick of it all.

It's so wrong I'm beyond being shocked anymore...I think back to the days when civil rights movement was getting into full swing..do you even think while all that was going on that the nightly news and t.v. programs would so relentless use the language they are using now?? People would have shut them down. Good people. Where are these people now? Do they not think this harms future generations. Not just their daughters but, their sons. Every time we diminish another person WE are diminished but, to have it condoned by the MSM daily?

History is keeping a record of all of this..and I hope women's study groups are too..I hope minority study groups are all recording and watching. This all will be on Obama's watch, his legacy of not standing up.

To think this man has compared himself to the brave and wonderful dr. King who NEVER would have kept his mouth closed over the way things are now. Lord how I miss his leadership. Where are our leaders now about these things???

Same here... could be bec I am at saturation point for the day! and have not understood HMG's point. Also I might have my own filters (India) working on me in this case that are interfering with bringing in local US context-specific information to digest the top post. So, I will return to it when I am in a better frame of mind and give it another shot.

Bitch Beer Disappears…and REAPPEARS!

New Update: You can email Dana Milbank here. Give him a piece of your mind! (H/T Soldier4Hillary).

In the “Information Age” things can turn on a dime. Stacyx sent me a video of Chris Cilizza and Dana Milbank at their true craft, entertainment, doing a little theatrical critique á la SNL, of the Beer Bash at 1600 yesterday (BTW there is a REAL beer bash every Wednesday night which is when the frat boyz there get all their brilliant ideas such as rerouting calls to the Secretary of State to a phone-porn number). In the course of their comedy routine, the two suggest appropriate beer labels for the participants in yesterday’s event as well as for a host of other elected and appointed officials. A “Bitch Beer” label is flashed on the screen for someone who will not be named followed by a picture of Homegirl Hillary.

Now! The “Bitch meme” was raised during the primaries and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did a fine job of turning that around to Hillary’s advantage with their “Bitch is the new Black” routine, and the “Bitches get things done” slogan was popular on T-shirts. But that’s history now – and it WAS only a slogan born of playing into the rap rather than opposing it..

The truth about the Homegirl is that she is not a bitch. She has shown over these 7+ months that she can play hardball against countries like North Korea and Iran, but she is a conciliatory presence who, as reported at the Secretary Clinton blog today calmed the Russians after Joe Biden’s inflammatory remarks. Bitches do not tend to be soothing. In fact, they do not tend to worry about the feelings of others and are highly unlikely to be called upon to act in ANY diplomatic capacity. Hillary Rodham Clinton is no bitch. Far from it, she is a true uniter.

Still4Hill, I love your siggy!!
Yes, I think of Late Indira Gandhi, Sirimavo Bandarnaike, Late Corazan Akino... and I am dumbfounded.. that US has missed the chance to elect Hillary in 2008.

God I hope she runs for 2012. And I hope DNP is not blacklisted as anti-women party...
