Ever count  your blessing? I did when I read this.

'100 percent' chance for life on newly found planet? (CNN 11/10/10)

c1main.planet.orbit.jpg

The Gliese 581 system's orbit compared to our own solar system. The planet labeled G is the one scientists believe could very likely support life.

============================================================

After all this research, the one we found might have life is about  20 light years away in the Milky Way... and one side always to its star (its equivalent of sun) and HOT; the other side always in darkness and frigid. 10degrees F temperature on average.  It takes only 37 days to orbit its star => it is very close to the star... but its average temperature is low [that makes me think it is not a very strong star].  Anyway, very interesting find.
