Americans Don’t Really Want a Third Party

Pollsters and pundits tell us that Americans desperately want a moderate third party. The Democrats and Republicans are being pushed to their extremes, this silent centrist majority laments, and the only way out is to create a new option.

A September Gallup Poll showed 58 percent of respondents favoring a third party — up from 47 percent at the time of the 2008 election and 40 percent in 2003. Six out of 10 self-described moderates support such a party.

But when actually given the option of credible third-party contenders, most voters look the other way.

America: If you want a moderate third party, you need to do more to whine for pollsters. You need to actually vote for it. (Emphasis added)

This is SO SO true!  None of the pollsters have appropriate response options for Moderate Independents.   Only way to get them to"get" it is to vote for a Moderate Independent, if there is one on the ballot.

Then, they will know, Americans DO want a third party.

It may not make the job easier for the pollsters and crystal gazers.. It just may demand that the parties work more closely together for the good of the country.
