I think Colbert is really funny, but there is a time and place.  How nice of we the taxpayers to give him all this free publicity and make a mockery of our government process.

I must be getting old, but it sickens me that with all the problems we have in this nation, our elected officials thought THIS was appropriate for a discussion on immigration reform.  A comedian who spent ONE DAY as a "migrant" farmer worker is now an expert?

This is a total disgrace...and Lofgren needs to be voted out ASAP for this stunt on our dollars.   Actually, many heads need to roll over this.  Inexcusable.

Thank you, VH. One of my friends was actually taken in by this stunt.

What a shame! The whole process has become one big joke.

My mom says Colbert is full of it, anyhow. She did all kinds of farm work when she was young and lived in Ohio corn country. All the teens and young adults back then worked in the fields, some for $$$ and some because they were expected to do their part to keep the family farm going. The idea that Americans cannot or will not do this work is a crock.
