This is one royal mess.  I was worried about final solution if the containment dome works.. well, it has not worked.. and BP seems to have wasted time working on this interim "solution" and now we have nothing except oil, oil everywhere. I wonder what is the concentration of oil in the Gulf water now.  Just wait for the next hightide and we will have a lot of oil hitting the shore.

There are many rigs in the world. They have worked well without such disasters for a long time, so we have thought they are safe and that they have good safeguards. Wrong.   I hope they find ways to significantly increase safety of offshore oil rigs very quickly.

And, we now know that under Obama's administration, BP, also a huge contributer to Obama, was granted exemption from a legally required environmental study in April, 2009.

Big contribution by BP to Obama + Obama reciprocating by exempting BP from environmental study = One hell of a mess. Where's the media coverage on this?

I was unaware of the Obama administration exemption in April 2009.

I saw some coverage of the fiasco and ongoing issues of this spill in AC360.com on CNN. There was coverage of Obama receiving contributions for Senate run and other contributions to dems and repubs. There is a lot more to come on this, I bet!
