Is WTTW11 Homophobic?

Jacob Meister (D), Illinois Senate candidate

Yes. I am indeed contemplating this very question right now.  Earlier tonight, a debate aired on WTTW11 featuring three of Chicago's Democratic Senate candidates,
Alexi Giannoulias, Cheryle Jackson, and David Hoffman.  Why is this significant?  Because there are more than three viable democratic candidates in the running.  Jacob Meister was denied a spot in this debate seemingly because he is an openly gay man.

While no official comment has been given on why the exclusion occurred, the only conceivable difference between Meister and the other candidates is that he is an openly gay man.

More . . .

Just as you think this race cannot get any more interesting.. there is another twist!!

I would love to see the candidate profile of Jacob Meister.  If any of you find it, please post in this thread. Thanks.
