I feel so blessed to have all of you, friends and family. Christmas is a time to be thankful for all of the good hearts and love we share. You and my children make my cup runnith over.

My youngest daughter got a short leave and flew in from AZ. My son sent me a wonderful Christmas Card from Afghanistan. My oldest daughter cooked her heart out, and my oldest son and his wife came for the festives as well as my other daughter-in-law and grandbabies. Neighbors rolled in, and the house was packed.

All four dogs waited for a lucky scrap, and of course, what drops on the floor is fair game.

I said my prayers and rosary this morning.

My day was nice and quiet.  I worked overnight on the 24th and had to come back in today at 7 but I still had some time with my family.
We cooked a lot of food and my kids were there and most of my grandbabies.  We got hit with freezing rain which I got caught in so I missed my daughter but she will come in tomorrow.
It was a nice Christmas.  I have a lot of family and friends in real time as well as online I am so blessed.

HMG, That's so nice to read. smile

I spent the day with my kid and dog... a couple of callings.. lots of phonecalls... I am solo parenting for a few more days here... it is hard.

We baked cookies and I made her favorite dish. She went up for an early night after being up a lot lastnight.

I got a new TV; finally upgraded to current technology. biggrin I am watching some boring movie and the dog is asleep at my lap as usual.

I took FULL two days off from my work. Yeah! biggrin. Did not even switch on my work email! biggrin . It's gonna be a real shocker tomorrow morning. biggrin

Very thankful for my real friends and my e-world true friends. smile

I spent my day with my parents, my sister, her hubby, and my two nieces. Mom cooked a big dinner, plus we had cream puffs for dessert. After dinner, I played Scrabble with Mom, Sis, and the older niece. For the first time ever, my mom won, so she was happy.

I'm glad to hear that my Hillarysworld friends spent their day with family members and had some good food. smile.gif

I hope Hillary is enjoying her holidays. She has been working so hard. I especially hope that she and Chelsea can spent some time together making wedding plans. And no 3AM phone calls!

Merry Christmas to my friends here at Hillary's World............It all came to a total standstill
when my husband had to be hospitalized for 8 days (kidney infection). I can't begin to tell you the tension I've had. The Doctor let him come home xmas afternoon, with bag and port
for dialysis, more test, and Thursday back to hosptial. I live in rural America, and must
travel 150 miles to see his doctor, and go to hospital. There are many blessings, and what
I consider a miracle that we are now at home with our dogs. I've kept family and friends at bay, as we can't afford to catch colds or flu.

I will tell you later about one female doctor that I've come to respect in so many, many ways.
It's true women always have to prove themselves, and they are the ones to come morning and night, and give you their cell phone number for issues that I can't understand, even open their office after hours to get on her computer.

I know the true meaning of Christmas this year, and the bald eagle has landed.

Glad things turned out good.  Being far from the doctor is very tough. I am glad your doc has made her phone number available to you. Kidney issue .. you have to take extra care!!

Glad you and your hubby are well.  I wish you happier days ahead this holiday season! smile

I am so sorry about your husband I pray that everything works out for you and your family.  My father had renal failure and required dyalisis.

I'm telling you, it's scary alright, especially with your loved ones. HMG, I'm really trying to get a grip on the renal diet, and my hubby said, there's nothing in the whole damn world I can eat............I told him we would focus on what he can eat. It's tough cause he is a meat and potatoes man, cold beer, with a love for chocolate.

Merry Christmas, everyone!  Sorry I couldn't make it for the last coupla days - I left too many things 'til the last minute, and had to run around like a chicken with its head cut off!

Nice to hear everyone was able to connect with family for the holiday.  Hope your husband is doing better, Bldg!

I have a feeling that 2010 will be a better year for all of us.  The world's eyes are opening and the light is shining on through.  Onward and upward!wink
